FaceGens for saved and new games have suddenly disappeared

I'm using Spritze/Gambo's database. After updating to that, most of the FaceGens in the my saved game are gone. Some background:

I started this game in OOTP 13 and carried it over to OOTP 14 no problem. After changing the databases (as well as some trial and error with team logos), my FaceGens no longer appear for most players. On my 25-man, only one or two show, for example. Every other player card is just blank, as if I have no photo options checked.

In options, I have everything set to FaceGen only - no player pictures at all. Even after an update and force update for FaceGen, the FaceGens still don't show. I even tried starting a new quickstart 2013 MLB game and same issue - most FaceGens are gone.

I can't be sure that the database change caused this issue, but I don't know what else it could be. The only thing I can think to do is re-install OOTP fresh and load my saved game (or try a new game) to see if FaceGens come back. But before I go that route, I thought I'd check to see if perhaps I'm overlooking something simple.

Update: I uninstalled and did a clean install of OOTP 14, keeping only my saved game folder and nothing else. I installed the 2013 All-In-One mod and, upon starting a new game, FaceGens are there.

But when I load my saved game, FaceGen files are gone. I can't get any pictures to show. Force update doesn't work (in settings). Neither does clicking create new picture on the player's individual page.

The game itself is fine, so I can continue if need be. But it's weird without the FaceGen files.

Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure why you're facegens aren't showing, but it's easy to fix.
Find your saved game's news\html\images\person_pictures and profile_pictures folders (make copies of those folders just in case) and delete everything that doesn't start with default in the name. Restart ootp and your facegens will be rebuilt and you should be all set.

Thanks for the tip, but that didn't work. I'm not sure what's wrong with my game, but FaceGens in general are messing up. When I first boot up, I see all the FaceGens. After clicking around a few other screens, I go back to the my roster and the FaceGens are gone. No clue how or why this is happening. I've tried starting a few new games and I run into the same problem every time.

EDIT: Even weirder - I have the option checked to create pictures on demand. If I click on a team's page that I've never visited before, I get the dialog that says it's creating the pictures. But when the page loads, there are no FaceGens. Very strange.

Bez a few thoughts
1. you do not have a historical DB loaded all players are fictional
2. Under League setup - Player & Picture Options , you have No Fictional Pictures.

Hey. Thanks for reviewing. I should have clarified the file before sending, but I have it set to No Fictional Pictures BECAUSE of the issue I described. Since they weren't working, I just turned off the setting. Even when I turn them back on and force update, it doesn't work.

I dont see what the problem is. None of your team names are real & I had no problem getting a logo to load and stay in after i left and reloaded the game. you said your are using a custom DB? there is no DB loaded. I turned facegens on and they stayed in after i loaded. The issue with the cap not loading happens from time to time.

I did use a custom DB at one time, and I thought maybe that was causing the issue, so I did a fresh install with the stock DB and I still get the same issue.

I almost wonder if it's a bug with my laptop or something. The flickering issue is still there, and that started with the latest update. Same with the FaceGen issue. Even after a fresh install with the stock DB and everything, I can't get FaceGens to work. It's bizarre.

File a ticket and possibly PM Bowtie or Athletics17. I have no issue with logos and facegen staying in. I can not help you on the flickering issue, some people have that some don't.
