Playoff Series Length

I recently lengthened the World Series to a 9 game series like old times. I really like this series length and think it provides the surest way of proving who is better. I have been thinking of increasing the Divisional Series and the League Series to this length also. Question is, would this lengthen the season too much and knock the off-season process out of balance? Also, would this provide a better challenge to weed out the pretenders in the post season and possibly provide better World Series matchups?

In my EBL vs MLB, MLB somehow switched to 7 games for the LDS (no wildcard round) without me seeing it. The World Series ended around November 5th. I also have this league associated with a fictional league and the Universal Series ended around November 12th. FA for both league started December 12th. Not sure if that answers your question.

Thanks for this. I guess I was wondering if I cut into the postseason too much is it going to mess with the AI at all. I'll just go ahead and try it for a season and see for myself, I like the idea of a 9 game series throughout the postseason.
