Rumors!
It would be so cool if there was a "rumor mill" around the trade deadline regarding players most likely to be traded. I understand that there's a trading block, but the rumor mill would feature bigger impact players, reasons why a club would sell or buy the player, possible suitors, and a rough analysis of the asking price.
It would also be cool to see 3-team trades and maybe real MLB logos? I know it's a licensing thing and I may be getting greedy but it can be a hassle to download the mods. |

It is a licensing thing. I'd suspect there's a 0% chance this will ever happen. Hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to download the logo mods or all in one pack from the Add-Ons Central in game and then have the game install the files for you.

From a coding standpoint, this would be a little trickier than it might seem. The current code likely runs the same game day as the trade. Run code, if yes, execute trade and publish.
For a rumor article to be possible, the code to decide if a trade was or was not successful would have to be done 1-2 weeks in advance of the actual decision - like in real life... then a new routine would have to peruse the "pending" trades and pick a couple to publish. Not impossible, but a bit more work than one might expect. I do think is would be a nice addition though. PS: Currently, there are stories that suggest teams are talking about a trade - I don't know if these are based on actual "pending" trades or simply random creations for the newspaper. |

Neither. All of those players have very low morale, usually due to being benched or playing for a non-contender. Those stories are pseudo-random, as the player is picked from a list of those with exceptionally low morale. |

One way that this could happen is when a team shops a player around. If a team shops a player or players but goes into the next game day without trading them, then the game could generate a story based on that. Something along the lines of:
"With only a slim one game lead on the Cincinnati Reds, the St. Louis Cardinals decided to sniff the trade winds today in search of an upgrade for their rotation. As bait, they dangled uber-prospect Oscar Taveras, hoping to land the biggest fish they could. They reportedly received offers from Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, but apparently, none of the offered players were deemed 'great ctaches' so Taveras was taken off the block." I don't think that would be too difficult to code. |
