Show Me The Money!

1st time I have ever seen a player make demands like this, so I thought I would share. While I like him and wish I could keep him I can not afford 14.5 mil (1985 finances). In years past I have not allowed EBL players to leave, I am changing that this year. I imagine this guy will either sign with a *** team or a west coast MLB team.
His intelligence & greed are Very High. Desire for winner, very low.

You have to have screwed something up.....the guy ain't even that good.....is one of the leagues you're allowing free agents to move to not playing with the same scale of finances as the EBL?.....no player, no matter how good is going to ask for what amounts to a team's entire budget....

No I haven't. I have MLB 2015 with normal 2013 finances (modified I raise the various amounts 2-5 % each year). *** stuck at 2013. CBF with 1995 Finances, my EBL with 1985 and TBL with 1965 Finances. Players asking for absurd amounts is common in my league. My custom players I am forced to resign manually most years otherwise everyone would go to other leagues.
This is the most I have ever seen one of the EBL players ask for. 6-10 sure but 14.5 when he is the 5th best player on my team, no.

With different pay scales in different leagues, you will get stuff like this.....it seems players just randomly pick one of the leagues and base their demands on that league, regardless of what league they are in.....so in the high paying leagues, they probably get some guys asking for ridiculously low salaries, relatively speaking......it is not a recipe for financial sanity.....I have found it is better to set ALL pay scales the same in all leagues (except for the minimum salary).....

I dont disagree with that at all, I have my EBL set to 1985 Finances and Strategy to try to get this league to act as an Indy League in a way. As the seasons have progressed the quality of the players staying in the EBL has increased. After I finish this league in 2043, I am going to redo it with all finances and strategy the same but instead of my EBL players coming ion with the teams i have them on originally they can get drafted by anyone as all leagues will share an associated draft. Figure that will be OOTP 20 by then. I started with 1973 and will match 2013 in 2033.

In my SS Duggleby was a manual trade the next 6 were either signed or acquired via a trade with a MLB team. Cinnamon, Wlaters, Knutsen, Teebo & Wicket are all arbitration. I have turned off trading with other leagues as I was tired of having to reverse trades when my custom players were traded away to leagues other then the EBL.
