Post Please give me a more specific ticket system!

I hope that if there is one new feature in ootp5 its a more specific ticket price system. I want different sections of the stadium to have different prices. Really the current system means nothing to me. What does 10 dollars mean? Is it an average ticket price. I think it would be cool to have a diagram of the stadium and be able to set prices for different sections. Such as Upperdeck 10 dollars, behind the vistors dugout 15 dollars and so on. You get the picture. I just think it would make the game so much more realistic. And howabout being able to set consession prices. I know you'll have been dreaming of setting hotdog prices to 7 dollars and selling pop loaded with ice.

i think that this is a great idea. Another interesting idea for the stadium would be hiring personnel to work in it. Hiring people like hot dog vendors or janitors to clean up your stadium would increase the public's enjoyment of the stadium, and that would increase attendance.

No offense but I really dont want the game to go down this route as I feel theres enough other things that need to be fixed in the sim engine to not worry about these kind of things.

Many of these suggestions are already incorporated in soccer sims, such as Championship Manager and Premier League Manager. I think that over time, this game may well develop with these details. This would not be a bad thing. IMO if someday down the road, a review proclaims OOTP as the CM for baseball, this indeed would be great praise.

IMO not much use though until there is a little bit more depth in some of the other fan/market/TV/merch sales/stadium workings of the game though.

GiantsRule I never insulted you In anyway.... All I stated was my .25 that at this point in the games devolpment I didnt think this would be a good thing to add.

Now I did disagree and come off a little rude In another thread to Bamf909 but while I wish I would handled my tone a little better In My post I feel he deserved the jist of It.

I prefer to assume that I only lease the stadium and let the owner lease out the canteen facilites to someone else. It's a baseball game, not Pizza Tycoon.

You can't set the beer price anymore I believe...

I know in Mogul 2000 it was beer, hot dogs, and ice cream; but I think when they got the liscence they had to either drop beer or change it to soda or beverage.

I think in the newest version of mogul(this years you can set them agian)

This Is from there site.

What's New in 2003
Baseball Mogul 2003 includes a number of new features and improvements over earlier versions of the game, including:

Officially licensed product of the Major League Baseball Players Association. Includes real player names, photos, and statistics, with latest rosters for the 2002 baseball season
New player scouting reports. Now with complete year-by-year stats for each each player. See each player's historical stats, and track their year-by-year stats for each simulated season, too.
Additional player stats. Track player performance in spring training and in the postseason.
Play-by-Play. Watch each at-bat of a game, and see the game as it unfolds.
Stadium construction tool. Build a better ballpark, or move your team to a new city and build one there.
Concession prices. Set the prices of hot dogs, drinks, and ice cream in your ballpark.
Enhanced minor league control. Tell your minor league managers what kind of rookies they should recruit, both by position and by skill.
Fantasy draft option. Build your dream team from scratch. Take turns choosing your favorite players from among all the players in the league, while the computer managers build the opposing teams.
Generic photos for new rookies. Added realism for your new players.
Improved news headlines. Now includes quick and easy scanning and reading of news articles in the daily newspaper.

GiantsFan dont worry about It....There were a lot of emotions running around the board at that time.

With OOTP and PureSim occupying my text based baseball time, I really can't see myself shelling out anymore money on this genre. It's too bad, maybe this years version of Mogul will be better, but there just aren't enough hours in the day.

I would hate to see details like this added. If you want to micromanage your finances, play sim city. Micromanaging your ballclub is time consuming enough as it is. I'd much rather see the game track fielding, minor league, and postseason statistics as opposed to how much I have to charge some fat slob for his nachos and beer.

Being able to set the price of a hot dog in Baseball Mogul doesn't make up for the 200,000 things that are wrong with it as a baseball game.
