Here are some larger versions of photos from that day.

Roberto Clemente - 1956 Jersey

I was searching for Roberto Clemente uniforms from 1956 this morning and found this one that I had never seen before with his hands on his hips. Thought I would post. I am also posting the only other one I have in color from 1956 with it. You would think there would be more.

Ideal Photos

One of the great things about collecting photos is that there are so many different uses for them. In addition, we all have our favorite types of photos with some liking action photos, some liking traditional poses while others prefer just the face w/cap. I thought I would post a photo that shows perfectly my ideal photo types. I strive to find photos for every player much like the photos in this post. The poses can differ, some with bats, some with gloves but the range of my ideal photos is just below the belt and up.

Here is the starting lineup for the 1968 St Louis Cardinals. When I ask for photos, this is what I am hoping for although given the scarcity of these vintage seasons, I know that is not always possible.

Thanks to all of you who have contributed to my baseball card project.

Image poses

That is absolutely the ideal pose for an image. Batters batting (or fielding) and pitchers pitching!

'50s Pirates - which reminds me

Who in the heck is this?

Not Smoky Burgess, Bill Hall, Cal Neeman, Harding Peterson. Or is it Peterson?

Sadly, I do not have a lot of Hardy Peterson photos to confirm this. At first I thought it looked a bit similar to Danny Kravitz but I dont think so. I hope it is Peterson since I have been using that photo in a card for him If it isnt peterson and none of those other guys, it could be a player who never played catcher posing for the fun of it. That said, his body sure looks like a catcher!

Willie Smith - Indians

I apologize for posting again but this remains one of my most elusive player. I didnt list him in my lists because I photo shopped him into an Indian uniform. Its horrible to say the least and this black and white isnt much better. He spent two spring trainings with the Indians; 1967 and 1968. Surely Topps or someone took his photograph during that time frame.

Polo Grounds

Does anyone here have this Polo Grounds image (the one with the Dynasty League game on it)? The empty one I am also posting is similar but the one Dynasty uses is enhanced. Its much better in my opinion.

I have that one as Harding Peterson. I post the 2nd image as well as a black & white and his Topps card for comparison.
