still cant change year for schedule when adding a league

Thought this was patched or there was a fix for this but i created athe american assoiciation league for 1882 and it still only allows me to change the year of the schedule from 2012-2013. I cant start one in 1882. The NA/NL league which was the original league i started back in 1871 has the correct current sim year of 1882. Do i need to change the date in options before pre-season?

Can import schedule but it still has 2013 in options. When i play the season which should be 1882 the game sees it as 2013. Shows in history as 2013. Theres nothing wrong with the database as i can start a league in 1882 just fine. This only happens when i add the league in 1882.

Tried to paste a pic in paint and it wouldnt paste. Might be a windows 8 issue with paint.

just came across this in my new league. what I found out was to not change the schedule for the first season, then it picks up the proper year for season 2.

if you alter the league structure you can hit the generate schedule button on that screen and it will generate a proper schedule for the correct year. you just cant change stuff on the options screen (the start date and things like that. (you could probably change the number of games, but I didn't want to risk it))

but I forgot to mention that once you play that first year it does pick up the correct year and you can edit the schedule like normal.

Well its good to know that it goes back to the current sim year after the first year. Still it shouldnt give you 2013 as the scedule start year when you add a league from 1882.

But im not sure if it solves the other issue of the wrong year showing up in history. So i have 2013 champion instead of 1882. I will try simming more seasons and see if it will correct itself. I think this glitch needs to be fixed if it doesnt take too much time to program.

This has been an issue for some time now, and I really wish it would get fixed. It's a real pain creating a fictional/historical, then adding feeders only to find you can't change the start date to anything other than 2013. It's also a real pita because the feeders don't play the first season, so you lose a years worth of players/stats. Only during the first off-season can I change the start date to that current year.

I had the same issue when creating a new league. BUT, when you get to through to the final set up step, where it asks you to name the game, you can put whatever you want the starting year to be. The game should then generate the correct schedule for that year. If you notice it doesn't, just go the edit schedule and the load the schedule file from the dB.

Thanks for the feedback, however the topic is to do with adding leagues/changing start date for said league after creation.

BBman I cant seem to find it in any of my active leagues but as
he mentioned after the season it reverts back. I had this issue when I added any other league in my 3 leagues.

Well it shows the correct years when you go to the history section in the next year

I've seen this exact same thing, both correctly and incorrectly, in the dry run I am doing for the league I want to create.

I created the first new league and noticed the schedule year oddity, ignored it, and the league ended up starting out that year anyway and everything was fine after that.

I created the second league a few seasons later, but I accidentally selected 2013 and couldn't deselect it, and after simming a couple seasons i came to the conclusion that the league wouldn't start playing until 2013 rolled around, so i had to delete it.

the snipping tool is easier, just bring up the search box & type snip. no more pasting in paint and cropping, crop right when you take the snip & boom done.
