International complex with stats only

How do you guys that play stats only evaluate players in the international complex? All the scouting reports I get say the players are no good. I don't want a "sure thing" but I don't see enough discrepancy in the players to know who to try at the minor league level and who to let go.

Anyone playing stats only with thoughts on this? Since no stats are being accrued, how do you decide who gets a shot in the minors and who gets released?

Usually I just let guys get promoted out of there at 20 (when they go automatically), and they'll get evaluated in my system when I get around to it. Occasionally if a guy is 1 star or more, I'll promote them earlier. I probably totally waste my time with it all, but I basically treat it as a random chance to get a new MLB-capable player.

If a guy is one star or more, you aren't playing stats only.....

I play stats only and turn off ALL the international free agent and scouting stuff.......all players in my league come from the amateur draft......

Yeah, I haven't started a stats only league in v14, but I think this is what I would do also. But, you could also take the previous suggestion and just let them graduate.

I promote them all at age 19 and see how they do in the minors.
