HUGE Bug Alert!

It just benefitted me tremendously.

I included a 10/5 player in a trade proposal, but because the opposing GM needed time to think, and then accepted the proposal, I could just reply to message with "accept trade" and it totally bypassed his 10/5 refusal rights.

Did the 10/5 guy exercise his 10/5 rights? Didn't that show up when you 1st offered the trade? That should have killed the trade right away.

I agree with game .... You will see one or two allow a trade but 95% of the time they will refuse trade

Yeah, whether or not the opposing GM accepts the deal doesn't matter because if the player refuses to be traded that would overtake the negotiation ability.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

This isn't a bug. I have also seen trades with 10/5 players. It's not common, but it happens. The player waives his no trade clause, just like IRL.

Echoing what everyone else has said, 10/5 rights give the player the RIGHT to refuse to be traded. He can always waive those rights, just as if he had a no-trade clause in his contract (non-10/5).

Just as a nagging reminder, I would caution folks not to make thread titles like "HUGE Bug Alert!" It's often not accurate, as in this case, and unfairly gives the wrong impression to casual shoppers in these forums.

Why do I say this? Not because I am a fan boy. Although I can be one when I am pleased with this game, as I am right now.

Nor am I overly concerned with the welfare of Markus and Co., although I do wish them well.

No, it's because I want to see this game get better and better. More satisfied customers will lend themselves to that. Misled potential customers will not.

This.

To add, if you think you have found a bug, please post it in the correct forum (Bug Report Thread). The General Discussions forums is not the place to report bugs.

Simple fix to misleading titles, the moderators can double left click on the title and change it in vBulletin.

No, what happened was I was able to include him in the deal, etc... all the way up to the opposing GM accepting the deal. Then I went to 'discuss trade further' and it said "T. d'Arnaud exercises his 10/5 rule rights to veto any deal!", and I wanted to try and see what would happen if I went back to the email and hit 'accept deal', and... the trade went through.

Not sure how the original trade proposal was done. Was it something like this?
1. AI offered you a trade in email
2. you countered with the 5\10 guy included
3. AI wanted to think about it
4. 5\10 guy refused to go
5. You went back to email and hit accept trade and it went through

In any case if it went through after the player refused to go it sounds like a bug. Unless it can be exploited in an online league I don't see it as a "HUGE Bug" since as a solo player you can simply stop the trade process on your own when a 5\10 guy refuses a deal. I know I've had 5\10 guys refuse deals and it never even occurred to me to go back and try to complete the trade. In my mind the deal was already killed.

Yeah I'd fill out a support ticket to make Markus aware, I'm sure he would want to know. In the end though it is a simple thing (again with the caveat it can't somehow be exploited in an online league) to ignore\workaround until it can be cleaned up in v15.

Regardless if this was a bug or not, bug reports do not go in general discussions.

There's a sticky and everything. *smh*

Yeah. And regardless of whether it's a bug or not, it's certainly not a HUGE bug.

More like a very, very tiny bug.

Yes, tiny bug -- more to me looks like an exploit, personally. (No offense intended.)
