It has been up since Sept 16th and had made $77.00.
75% of funding comes in the first 12 hours and last 12 hours.

This product is unfortunately finished before it even got out of the gate.

Their goal was unreachable, the perks were strange (you need to pledge $150 to get a $30 game?) and I'm not sure about their claim that it's a more realistic game than Title Bout (Jersey Joe Walcott gets up after a KD over 96% of the time in the game, but in real life he was KO'd six times and the actual number may have been as low as 25%).

I wish them well and hope they get it out there, but this probably won't be the way.

As fond as my memories are of the board game I could never go backwards as far as the amount of fights I'm able to produce. Uni's I run would be impossible under that format. I do think the computer game has guys floored and ko'd too randomly, but that's not a game changer.

But, as I think back to 1979 or whenever it was I picked up my first copy of Title Bout, it was amazing how far ahead of its time the game was back then. Obviously, computers have changed they way we think about things.

I remember back then I'd make current guys the game didn't have and set up tournaments that I rarely finished because of what was happening in real life. I don't think I was ever so excited(maybe 12) waiting for my order of the second card set. Checking the mail every day. Good times. I wish I still had my Avalon Hill Basketball game. I'd make player cards for that.

Must've been disheartening to these guys, with all the effort they had created that game ... I would never go back to the board game again, with all these wonderful sims settings, that cut down so much time ... It was an awesome thing to pass the time back in the olden days ... now I'm spoil to the inner core of my being with the current settings ...

I had the basketball game. The days of sports sims produced with cards and charts will come to an end when those who played them as children die off. I remember APBA and Strat-o-matic.

I say "BRING BACK THE TRUNZOS"!!! Translate their new ideas into current tech and refine their older and still used ones. Learn from the masters young jedis.

Kickstarter project was canceled.

I still think it could go if they made the goal more attainable (maybe $1K) and structured perks to generate sales, say $20-$25 for the base game and all the bonus cards split into two bunches at $10-$15 each. Then a shirt and/or personalized card or something else for those willing to pledge $100.

A boxing game will never entirely depend on stats, but with so much more knockdown/knockout data available now than in the 1970s, I would think that part of the game could be made very accurate.

Again, I wish them well and hope this finds its way to market.
