Association playoffs broken...again

My universe has four leagues, and I want playoffs with varying number of teams in each league qualifying. (Top league: 3, 2nd division: 2, 3rd and 4th division: 1 each, for a total of 7. Pennant winner in top league gets first-round bye.) Every time I try this, though, the game freezes up.

I thought this was fixed last year?

Pretty sure it was logged as an issue last year, but I don't recall it ever being addressed, either last year or with the new version.

Is this all association playoffs that are broken, or just certain formats?

It's going to be a staple of my new online league so it better work!

I haven't tried in 14 yet, but in 13 I never had problems with 2-team and 4-team association playoffs.

2- and 4-team playoffs work fine, but it doesn't like odd numbers.

The strange this is, I was able to do odd-numbered association playoffs in OOTP 13 post-patch...but now it won't work in OOTP14. Thoughts?

Use even numbers.

anyone know a fix here? I have tried seemingly every combination yet my game freezes every time. extremely frustrating, this feature has been there for 2 years and barely works at all.
