General Manager
What does the General Manager actually do? I've been looking at candidates and none of them seems to do very well in terms of scouting, coaching, or trainer-ing. So...how do I assess their relative skills? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

You are the GM of the major league team you control. Don't even bother to look at potential GMs to hire. You can't hire any of them.
If you go to your team menu, then click on "personnel", you will see that the top row is divided into 3rd, with a blank area, then your manager and then the pitching coach. That blank area is where the GM would go. A human controller team has you and OOTP doesn't bother to create a little box for us. Compare that to an AI controlled team. You will see a GM appear in that area. |
