Cast Your Vote For the 1916 All-Stars!
Hey gang! We're running a fun project over at Seamheads.com that also involves SABR members and I'd like to extend an invitation to fellow OOTP fans. Here's a link that will describe what we're up to. I hope you'll join in the fun!

It's all based on voting, although some of it might come down to what we who are running this project think. The original All-Star voting in 1933 required the league presidents' approval, and they made roster decisions in the end. We'd rather go with the voters, though.

Early returns are in and there's some interesting voting for the 1916 All-Stars. So far the leader in the clubhouse among all players is "Shoeless Joe" Jackson, who has 91.9% of the vote. Honus Wagner is leading NL shortstops with 90.1% of the vote. Some of the closer races have Jake Daubert (48.4%) and Hal Chase (41%) battling it out for NL first base honors; Ivey Wingo (37.9%) and Hank Gowdy (26.7%) dueling for the NL backstop spot; Ernie Johnson (30%) edging out Bill Wambsganss (25%) at AL SS; and Ray Schalk (40%) beating Les Nunamaker (32.5%) for AL catcher honors.

I really had a good time thinking about this and looking some stuff up on baseball-reference.com. I have never been that interested in this era of baseball, so it's been a learning experience for me. This was fun for me, and I hope it is a success for you. I hope to see more!
