Schedule changes on it's own

No problems concerning the 2013 season. I have two leagues and as always the plan,I schedule games before the regular season starts and closes and add games too all the off days inbetween so there are games played on a daily basis.

Now the problem. Edited the schedule for both leagues for the 2014 season ,with games added before and after the season opens and closes and during the off days. Now all the re-scheduled games are gone and new games have replaced them at a later date.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future. Am I suppose to re-schedule the games a day before so they don't get cancelled?

I'm on March 4,2014 with the game and as soon as I get to April 2,2014,I'm going to add games to the schedule(Apr 3 thru April 9) and see if the game doesn't override the newly scheduled games.

Check the starting date criteria for your league; also check what's in the header to the current schedule file for the league. There could be a conflict between what you have set up, that is, you're trying to schedule regular season games before the date the game is recognizing as the start date to the season.

It does say April 10th as the start date(options page) for the Continental Baseball League and during the 2013 season I moved games to an earlier date w/o a problem but when 2014 season comes around,it doesn't want too work it that way.

What about MLB regular season games in Japan that have been played in March? Those are regular season games even though MLB is still in spring training?

I don't want all the teams to play reg. season games before the 10th,just a handful.

The new schedule did re-schedule games during the off days, which I thought was weird .

The real-life MLB early overseas openers are a special case. The clubs involved operate under different roster rules for the overseas games due to the fact they are opening their regular season about a week earlier than other clubs, and after the openers they go back to playing training games.

OOTP currently does NOT recreate these special roster rules. As far as it is concerned, the regular season starts whenever the first game is scheduled, even if the other clubs don't play for a few days. OOTP cannot have spring training overlap the regular season as happens in MLB with the overseas games.

I usually don't play spring training games because I have a hard enough time completing a regular season and playoffs.

I got to April 2,2014 and added games from April 3 thru April 9 and the games did show up so before the 2015 season I will add games the day before they get played.

In regards to the schedule starting date, remember there is the little option that sets the actual opening to a day of the week on or after a specified date. (This is to allow the schedule to fall on the same days of the week each season.)

A possible workaround for the bug: Export your schedule as a .lsdl and then re-import it the day before Opening Day.
