Will this work with OOTP13?

If not, is there an updated (as of Sept. 2013) roster set for OOTP 2013?

Thank you lukasberger for your answer. I figured that out and I am indeed in the process of simulating a few seasons. I was only worried due to playing other sims in the past and never getting consistent results.

I also noticed in the other sims that the results were dependent on the mode of the game you used, to sim with. I have been pretty much sticking with the quick sim with this game to this point. Poor Byrd is batting .115 lol.

Seems to be a fantastic game however. I debated on the purchase for 2-3 months. I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger (are we still allowed to say that these days )

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the game. It is strange, I have two different folders in different places on my computer related to OOTP14. The folder containing the quick_start file is not in the data file. And it will not allow me to start a quick start with the Updated2013MLB.quick file, it is still saying I need to download it in my Add on central. When I go there, it is not visible to click on??

Is anyone else having an issue, am I just this stupid to be missing something??

That sounds like something is wrong with your installation. Can you post a screenshot of the two folders?

For now I'd suggest moving the quickstarts folder to the data folder so that it follows the path I put up in my last post. See what happens then.

Any way you can move start Date to Tuesday or 1-1-2013 because would solve Injure problem because I have some guys on MLB Rosters who should be on the DL and aren't and I have to do it manually and then I can get past Draft then my Drafted by Teams League would work for people to try out?

No, sorry. I really don't want to do that. Feel free to change the start date yourself though.

When I load it from a Template it's still going to be still March 30 2013 and you can only change the Year and not the date and if we could a October Date would be minus Offseason things like Postseason,Awards,Rule 5 Draft 12-1-2023 and so on and no 2013 Stats.

Start another game with a fictional league that has only two teams. Sim to the date you want. Then delete the teams players and coaches from the fictional league, keeping only the fake league itself. Then run the purge tool.

Then import the update as a template. Copy all the files from the quickstart to your new leagues save folder. Then delete the fake league you created, run the purge tool again, and you should be all set to go.

I solved problem by putting People on the Injured List Manually and in Play section 2013 shows up.

Somebody will come out with Rosters that have 2013 Stats but their have to figure out how to Edit Standings so Game starts at this Years Postseason or get this Years Postseason Stats so it starts day after World Series ends.

Lukasberger,

What is the best way to use your quickstart file? Do you just replace the file in the OOTP folder or can you use it from outside the OOTP folder?

Put it in the Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 14\data\quickstart_games folder. It shouldn't overwrite or replace anything.

I'm not seeing D.J. Peterson listed in the rosters. He was drafted 12th overall by Seattle this year.

He's there! Heck everyone that signed from the draft and nearly all the udfa's are there too.

You won't see him in Seattle's system, if that's where you're looking. We left everyone in the draft, so you'll have a draft full of real players in the first season.

Couple of questions, lukasberger:

Is there a way to use this 2013 roster with a modified world file?

And speaking of draft--anyway to stop these future first year draftees from being available in a free agents draft? Or is that the way a free agents draft is supposed to work?

Is it possible to import historical players into a quick-start game, and still have the historical players use the historical setting of recalc, or like recalc and development? Does that even make sense?

I'm planning on starting this quick start, getting rid of all stats and records. Then setting up a draft of all the current players where I also import some historical players into that first draft.

Gotcha! Yeah I was just looking at the exported rosters. I saw Jonathan Gray and Kris Bryant in them but no Peterson. But he was in the game when I loaded the database. Thanks again for this!

Can't you just overwrite the world file in the save game folder? Or doesn't that work?

I wouldn't think it's supposed to work that way But I have no idea how to prevent it from happening if it is. Sorry

I believe it is indeed possible. But I'm not the one to ask as to how to do it. Probably pstrickert or VanillaGorilla or one of the other guys who plays a lot of historical would be able to tell you.

I thought I read somewhere that doesn't work. But I'll give it a go.
