Importing them is straightforward enough, just be sure to do so though only during the off-season or pre-season period. Also, make sure your league parameters match what those specified for the schedule file, otherwise it won't import. The Schedules folder in your OOTP installation also contains quite a few schedule files as well.

You can open any schedule file in Notepad or Wordpad. The ".lsdl" extension is for OOTP's purposes—the file structure itself can be read by Notepad and Wordpad.
Thank you very much for the link! Being new I'm a little "scared" lol!

I have the "default" MLB 30 teams... I just don't want to play the same schedule in a different order... Want a new "generated" one... I may want to sub in or out a few different opponents but I'd like to follow the MLB's schedule rules as far as games vs divisional opponents and inter league play... So out of allllllll those schedules in the link you gave me; how do I know which is what or how do I easily achieve what I'm looking for?

I use GMO schedules and I swear by them, although Sandman's are great also. They have what you ask for.

Almost getting to pre season... was looking over these schedules... still some what confused.

This is the one I was looking at :

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-schedule.html

I am running 30 teams 3 divisions with 5 teams. That looked to fit the bill. Do I download the files in post #12? If so do I download all? Do I place them all in the appropriate folder? Where would I do this on a MAC.

I can't wait until I am past the noob faze

Just read through the description for the individual schedules (each link in the opening post of that thread takes you to a post describing that schedule file).

Most of the custom-made schedule files do not have league-wide off-days unless they were specifically requested.

There are 6 schedules in the 1st file. You would have to load each every preseason, or at least that is the way I did it when i used the same schedule. I save it to my desktop or somewhere where it is easy to get to, but i see no reason why you would not be able to put it in the schedules folder.
This is a similar schedule and i put it in a file for each year that I will use it. I no longer play this league.

Thanks!! There was 6 files in 5 "folders" so to speak... I downloaded and opened each so 5*6+30... does that mean for 30 season I will have different schedules? I put them all in the appropriate folder so they are easy to locate!
