OOTP Playoff Roster question

After a few years away from OOTP, a group of friends and I returned with OOTP13 to play a new season together.

Everything was going well until the playoffs started. As the game usually warns me about roster violations etc... I didn't think anything about simming the final week of the season - which ended up being 1 game of regular season, and then into the start of the playoffs.

Here's the rub... some of the player teams were running expanded rosters... so instead of WARNING me that there were human rosters too large to enter the playoffs, the game went ahead and trimmed their roster for them automatically (!)

So now, as an example, one guy has his 20 game winner not on his playoff roster, instead he's been replaced by a journeyman outfielder...

We don't have playoff rounds... the top team in each division makes it and we have ONE playoff series - the World Series. So there is no way to 'wait' until in between series to make changes (as was mentioned in other topics about playoff rosters).

I've tried going into the player editor as the commish and injure the journeyman hoping we'd be able to replace the injury - but no go.

How can I move this pitcher onto the roster? I find it really frustrating that as commissioner I can't just make this edit outright as I desire....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(EDIT - and I am computer savvy... so if there is a way to do this by editing export files directly, I'm game for that...)

I've messed up a couple times in solo leagues and never figured out how to get around it. You may just be stuck.
