How do you rate this player?
I'm in round 12 of Inaugural Draft and this SP is available:
![]() I don't know what to make of him. My instincts say he's too good to be true.... why is he rated 0.5/3.5 when his current ratings are almost maxed out? He has two more pitches rated 10+ fwiw. |

He's a reliever. Look at the stamina. I'd take him just because there is always that chance that you could stretch him out and he could become a solid SP.

Well, 6 stamina is kind of low for SP. Also, I noticed that you have 'OSA' scouting selected. What does your own scout think of him? His 'Stuff' rating is mediocre, meaning he won't strike out a lot of batters so you would want to back him up with a good defense, especially infield defense with that 62% GB rate.

Looks like a 20 point scale.
At 24 he has little chance of going anywhere but out of baseball. Lot's of mediocre pitches don't excite me much.

Of course, I let AI make roster moves and it promptly placed him on irrevocable waivers, where he was lost to a team that moved him to MR. Lesson learned. |

I'd watch him as he develops, he is only 24. Could you post something like 5 or 10 seasons down the road with how he is doing?

6/20 stamina can most definitely be a starter in modern day leagues. He's not going to finish the season with a ton of complete games, but if he keeps his pitch count to a reasonable level, he'll go 6+ almost every time.
He's not outstanding, but he has good control. He looks like a solid 4/5, maybe even 3, depending on the team and league. |

![]() I've tried turning prospects like him into SP but the AI usually changes them back into MR/CL instead of stretching them out in the minors. |

I really wish there was a way to build stamina.

What sort of offensive environment do you have? Note that his BABIP took an amazing dive in 2017. It seems likely that he would go back to 2014-15 levels unless the defense is incredible.

Hey, for a 12th round pick he has been great.
(Just realized this was inaugural, not the normal draft. Oops) |

would NOT draft this guy or waste a pick for him. Career minor leaguer at best.
