Mac user - can't find databases

Just downloaded the game. I want to create a Great Teams league and I cannot find the historical database when I select Import Historical Team on League Config screen. I even went into Mac Finder and it does not find the databases.

I do not even see the Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 14\stats folder when I look at Library\Application Support.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Chris

New mac user here - I also don't see the main Out of the Park Developments folder when I look in Library\Application Support.

Where else could it be?

Thanks for your help.

I'm also a Mac user.

I've purchased OOTP for the last several seasons. OOTP13 installed and created a nice, easy-to-find folder for saved games and other things right in the Documents folder.

With OOTP14, I cannot find where the files are stored. They are not in Documents. They are not in Library/Application Support. I have tried making my hidden files viewable.

I cannot find where to go. Any help would be appreciated.

They had to move the game folder out of the Documents folder due to Apple security requirements.

Your OOTP 14 folder is now here:

Users --> "Your User Name" --> Library --> Application Support --> Out of the Park Developments --> OOTP Baseball 14

You can't go into your main Library folder, but need to go into the library folder of you (the user). It should be there.

It's handy to drop a shortcut somewhere so you don't have to dig every time.

Macs rock -- been using since 1991. Loved when OOTP finally came out on a Mac.

That worked. I was only looking in the main Library folder and not in the user folder first.

Thanks!

jimedrice,

I must be dense because I cannot find the LIBRARY folder after I get to the User --> "Your User Name" step......no idea what is going on or where else to look.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

In Lion, the user's Library folder is hidden by default. In older Mac Os' it was visible.

The path remains the same but since you can't normally see the Library folder, you can't get there.

2 ways around this:

1) Permanently un-hide the user library folder so you can find it. Open a terminal window (terminal.app in Applications --> Utilities and run this command

Code:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Here's a how-to: 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder - Mac OS X Hints

2) From inside OOTP itself, if you are in the "Load Game" window, one of the buttons on the bottom is for "Open Folder". With a league selected, if you click this button you will open that league's folder on your hard drive. Navigate up one level (Cmd - Up) and you are in your Saved Games folder. Up another level and you are in the OOTP 14 folder.

Bookmark that sucker so you can find it next time and don't have to go through this process again
