Yes the simming is much faster I noticed, however it did take me about a half hour to sim one game. Awesome job, I do love it, it's going to take some getting used to. One thing I would love to see is the ability to hire and fire your head coach. Picture pack didn't come with the game, but I found one on-line. But I'm sure you guys still plan to do much work with the game, but it is feeling good right about now.
Hopefully it will allow me to understand the new playoff format before this years post season!

Thanks JeffR and others that you make this game. There are few bugs and enforcer system is not working just yet but still great game. I am so excited about this game! Big thanks to everyone :-)

I think it's inexcusable to a) be unable to resign one's own players and b) the pkayer search/filter is STILL inoperable for a finished product

SimCity 2013 was basically an abomination that was totally broken upon launch, had many features that didn't work right even when they did eventually fix it so you could even play it, and even today is considered one of the worst game launches ever.
I wouldn't put FHM quite in that category, mind you. But SC2013 should be exhibit A for ANY software developer of why rushing a release isn't a good idea.

well the main problem with SC2013 besides the allways on nonsense was, that it looks like a indepth simulation game, but isn't one. it now plays fairly stable, but you can't actually achieve something through good or bad management given the poor game AI.
I hope FHM turns out to be better in that regard, but after trying some obscure things, and basically achieving all of them, i don't think that this AI currently has that much depth to it as most of us may would like. It is incredibly easy to start an NHL season and win the Stanley cup right away, and defend it over and over again, given the poor choices the AI makes. It may improve drastically with the RFA status beeing overworked, but right now, there is no need in building a franchise / drafting etc. one can easily just sign every big fish FA, trade them right away for cheaper / better / younger assets. If you add, that you can trade for rights of basically every unsigned player for nothing, you can't help but built a top notch team. I also expected budget teams / small market teams to act more like them. A team like the Florida Panthers go out in 2014 in one of my leagues and sign both Henrik Sedin and Lundqvist to basically max contracts. i like the progress so far, i joined the BETA fairly late, so i really appreciate every step made, and i love the fast responses from the developement crew. But this game is far from done

Crash?
I started a new game once I updated to 1.0 as an unemployed greenhorn. Took a contract with an EPHL team and every time I sim to the next day the game crashes. I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game and did the exact same thing and received the same results. Anyone have an answer on why this is happening or how to fix it?

The other issue, is that even if it is fixed (to the degree they can fix AI that "lies" about what is actually being simulated) people who got frustrated with it during the first month or so of release will be hard pressed to go back to it at all.

Something is wrong. Click on players and transaction choices are back to beta version. Commish edits not holding. Game stops. Bad start. Trying to download again.

Also some Teams like Tampa Bay Drafted by Teams Roster coming Opening Day are below Salary Floor and we should be allowed to change Salary Floor number to like highest number to solve problems so I don't have to take over another Team.
Also if Salary Cap is highest it can be the Blackhawks won't Trade like Kane,Keith and so on in Preseason

I won't say V1.0 is unplayable, because it IS playable (just remember to save early and often). But it's extremely rough around the edges and there is a long, long way to go before it's even at EHM levels.
Having said that, OOTP Baseball took about 12 versions before it got to the world-beater that it is today. So I'm more than willing to give the developers of FHM some time to groom it. Even broken, it's a lot of fun. I do hope, though, that for the first few "full" versions of the game that we who paid in beta (both in money and time spent dancing around bugs) to support the game will get significant discounts for the new versions...

It is so... so... slow.
I can wait for everything else to be fixed as we go, but it literally takes 60+ seconds every time I need to load a new screen (for example, looking at a free agent, and then hitting back to go back to the list of free agents). That, for me, makes it unplayable. I'd need countless hours just to look at free agents. |
