Can't schedule my All-Star game!?
First of all, I'm not certain this is in the right place. But then, neither is my All-Star game.
I'm building an intercontinental baseball association entirely from the ground up — coaches and market sizes and .2% Arubans — but I fear the endeavor may be useless as I just can't put my All-Star game in the right place. We play 100 games from April through July. I want the one between my All-Stars to occur on Saturday, June 12, 2032. With 30 or so games remaining, I feel this date offers a timely diversion from the stretch run while remaining contingent upon a meaningful sample size. But no. No matter what I do. Be it editing the league options to schedule the ASG on 12 June, or editing all my minor league options to schedule their ASGs on 12 June, or deleting the schedule beforehand, or attempting to put it in manually, or building the stupid schedule myself. Doesn't work. My computer-generated All-Star break is, as ever, irrevocably, mid-May. After only 43 games! What do I do?

What point of the season are you currently? Some things can only be changed at certain times.
I would change the all star date in set up and then go to schedule editor and generate a new schedule. If that doesn't work you can export the schedule to a text file. Find the All star break, trade those three days with the three days you want to move it to and import it back into the game. I had to do this with my league and after I did it once the schedule has been fine since. |

Make sure you have 2 leagues (like AL & NL in MLB for example), with as many divisions as you like of course. I've found that if you have a single league the All-Star option simply vanishes if you try to set it up (and it actually looks like you have).
Hope that helps? |

Here's an idea. Generate a break-less schedule, then move the series that takes up the June 12 spot to the end of the schedule. Then set the ASG to be played on June 12.
You may need to mess with start dates to ensure that the moved series originally runs from June 11-13, with no off days surrounding it. Remember, there is an off day every 13 days or so. |

I'm not sure how this works if there is one league with 3 or more divisions... I'm guessing that will throw the game for a loop. But one league, two divisions is fine. |

When you have the IL (AAA) in 3 division format; no All Star Game.

This where the games is faulty I understand you can't schedule and all-star game if you have 1 league with 3 or more divisions, 2 divisions is a you can have. Well I say if you have 3 or more divisions in a one league set up the game should give the options to have a "home nation all-stars" vs foreign all-starts
For example if you league is set up in the USA have USA born all-stars vs Players born in other countries Or North American born all-stars vs the played born outside North America It multiple country leagues Western Hemisphere vs Eastern Hemisphere or something like that Maybe even by age under 30 all-starts vs over 30 all-starts thy way your league will always have an all-star game Last edited by Padreman; 09-02-2013 at 08:52 PM. |

I thought the PCL played the IL?

That's the Triple-A All-Star Game, which started in 1988. At that time, there were three Class AAA leagues, so the game featured the best players from AL affiliates vs. the best players from NL affiliates. After the American Association folded following the 1997 season, the format was changed to the IL vs. the PCL.
There was also for a time a Double-A All-Star Game. As there were (and still are) three Class AA leagues, the format for the game was AL vs. NL. Note that this game did not always replace the individual leagues' All-Star games, whereas in Triple-A it did. The AA All-Star Game ran from about 1991 to 2002. |

Whenever I select "hold all star game" and have it scheduled automatically, it never shows up in the schedule.
If I schedule it manually, it shows up but with other games scheduled that day. Both of these occur even if I generate a new schedule. Or it will erase my selection to "hold all star game" after I generate a schedule. So far, the only way I can have an all star game is to schedule it on a day when other games are already going on. Are there any step by step instructions that are more clear than in the help guide? Preferably, I'd like to have an all star game every year scheduled automatically without having to remember to schedule it in the preseason window. My league is currently in 1924 for what it's worth. The All-Star Game works fine, and OOTP uses the first two divisions (as listed on the standings) for 'Team One' and the last two divisions for 'Team Two'. |
