Disappointed (I know it's beta)
Paid 40 bucks. Can't play more than 3 seasons without it crashing on the season update. Very disappointed. Not to mention the best player in the last two drafts had 2 1/2 star potential and my pick at 15th overall got me a 1 star potential guy. Why does every prospect suck? I know it's beta so I'm not complaining asking for money back. But if it doesn't improve quite a bit then FHM will never see another dime from me.

Waited to long to order and no offense to TC but you could have just tacked on to one of the many complain threads rather than creating a new one... fair to be disappointed and technically you have the right to be disappointed but some common courtesy to keep it to one thread isn't too much to ask.
That being said yes plenty are disappointed, plenty are thrilled. I don't have very high hopes, this is just an investment for me, I want to see a 2nd, 3rd version and I am sure that if we get those I won't care that I possibly wasted $30 on this version. I understand not everyone has that mentality but thats why I am not disappointed. |

I was one of the few that were here for OOTP1 and I can tell you that this game is way better or should be for version 1 than that game was. The game was great for it's time and I played the crap out of that game but when you look back, that game is so basic now. This game is kind of the same for FHM and OOTP. Markus has spent 14 games to make OOTP what it is today and even though FHM is more advanced compared to that game, it is still an infant game. People just lose sight of that because of how great OOTP is. I still say be patient. OOTP has always been one of the best companies I have had the pleasure of dealing with and would not want to produce some crap game. Not saying that the game wont be bad to some people but OOTP has a very sterling reputation and I am more than sure that Markus and Sebastian won't let that happen. |

I am disappointed, too, but I like what drewst18 said as this is my position, too:

I, too, missed the $30 window...and while the game is far from perfect I'm quite hopeful about the forthcoming release.
The fact that there is an alternative to a 6 or so year old sim (that also had its flaws, mind you) is a big, big deal. I'm very happy with what I see so far...and, aside from the crashing, it's already shaping up to be pretty damn close to where EHM left off. Just be patient...beta testing is all a part of the development process...and I'm certain that they'll continue to improve the game even after it's release...which EHM desperately needed too. Granted, EHM was more stable...but FHM has ongoing support and a great baseline to work off of (and the ootp community helping out to boot) I guess I'll put away the pom poms, but again I urge you to be patient...I think it'll be totally worth your $ in the long run. |

Dissappointed(I know It's a beta)
Like everything good things come in small packages. Remember this is only a beta and I too had said that I was dissappointed but you what this game will be far better then eastside hockey manager was simply because unlike sigames which simply gave up on the game because they were trying to make that hockey siim into something It wasn't OOTPDEVELOPMENTS will not abandon this game they will only improve it over time but we all need to be patient and tell them what needs to be fixed or features that we like to see added. All those crashes need to be reported back to them so they can fix them. They can't fix these crashes and glitches If you don't let them know. Bottom line just be patient and enjoy the product that we have. remember rome wasn't built in a day and that applies to any game that is being created and coded.

With all due respect, as someone who has been playing beta from the get-go, this game is not even close to what Eastside was. I would say FHM needs roughly a year or two longer to be comparable. In it's current state, and I suspect my opinion will not change in a week's time after the update, this game is not ready for release.

Interesting
![]() I played Eastside for a number of years, and have played the Beta of FHM pretty much from the start. If I could only play one, I'd take the Beta of FHM in a heartbeat. Just my opinion but FHM already blows ESHM out of the water. |

How come? You can't even play 2 seasons without getting a crash, that ruins your whole savegame.

Just get the logic to be logical and I'll enjoy it. I wouldn't know about crashes after two seasons, because after a few months of bizarre trades or non-trades, wacky roster moves, maddening contract and free agent negotiations, and much of the rest of game AI, I just tire of circumventing or ignoring what are to me the most severe limitations at present. I don't care if the screens aren't perfect or the delete button isn't there on the menu or the interface is tedious or my goons don't brawl as much as I'd like them to... that can all be overlooked for now and refined along the way... even if it is called FHM'15 and cost $40 for all I care... just please, oh please, let the game logic actually work by release so I can endorse the game.

I waited to pay $40 because I actually wanted the company to get more money because more money = better game (unless you're talking about EA Sports, in which case it's the opposite). To me $10 isn't much difference. I understand that the game has a long way to go, but I for one won't spend anymore money on a game that is unplayable. It's almost like a demo version rather than a full fledged game. The ungodly sort times when searching for free agents...and the fact that you have to resort every single time you click on a player...makes it just painful to play. It's obvious that the potential is there, the game just has a loooooong way to go. Oh and no one mentioned the awful draft experience. How do I distinguish between the 500 1 star potential guys I have to choose from in the first round? Good God, I'll just quit doing the draft. Wait, all I like to do is the draft. Uh oh....

I believe the key items garnering the most attention has been the game database and AI. once that is where it needs to be, all other stuff should be easier to attend to. |

Disappointed (I know it's a beta)
I don't think that the game is all that bad considering its only in beta mode. I would expect that once the actual game is released that they will stomp out the reminding bugs and glitches in the game. Everyone who is complaining about this game being unfinished needs to understand that it takes time to fully develop a good game. So what I am saying is please be patient with the developers so they can develop this game the right way.

Oh, I'm a software developer so I understand the process. I'm just saying that I'm not paying anymore until the version I have and already paid for is actually playable and fun to play. Fixing the crashes that keep me from playing more than a few seasons is a good place to start
