ah I see what you did there. Didn't know about The Jam thing until Questdog told me. I have to go now Captain America's calling. Oh and I still need to give The Jam cover a listen. Pardon though if I'm a little biased

The duplicate manager bothers me too. If I am the GM and Earl Weaver is my manager, why should I be eligible for manager of the year? Why should there be 2 entries in the historical manager section for the same games?

The already-available "GM only" mode (see Manager Options screen) solves the first issue, at least. Not sure about the other issue.

If you have GM only checked it would have gone to your MGR not you. That was a fix in 13. i see scud beat me to this.

I love having a MGR even though I am the MGR of the team since it helps with their atributes which can only help me on the team to keep a winner and players in line.

I could swear I remember seeing, as recently as OOTP 12 or 13, the ability to take a job for a major league team as both a GM and a manager (so under available jobs, it'll list all the teams offering you GM positions, then it'll list teams from the same league offering you managerial positions). I believe you have to have experience in-game to get those offers though, if they even exist (but I'm 90% certain I've seen them).
