Meh.... graphs are still a waste of space... now just harder to see the numbers... but nice try!

I like bigger graphics and bigger photo especially if game has facegen eventually.
FHMs interface doesn't change enough when you change teams. I always like it when the interface colour changes ever so slightly when you're in a different league and colours change more drastically for different teams. lol sadly in EHM I would get all excited when I saw a newly acquired player of mines name change colours from whatever team he was on to my blue and white I sort of miss that.Instead of a gray backdrop maybe it would look better as orange and black (team colours)? Either way it's very easy to read and has a nice clean look. Are you going to place the current year and previous year stats somewhere in there? You might run out of room with a half ice surface in there... But either way rather see the full half ice than blank space. Any chance you can work the "C" in there for captain? Nicely done. EDIT: you're probably wondering why I must make suggestions for everthing...you see, that's just who I am. It's my one and only flaw.

You inspired me, I couldn't sleep, so I fiddled around with the player profile screen of FHM and modified it a little to fill all that empty space.
The colors are not perfect (I'm no graphic expert), but I like that a lot better and there's not a whole lot done to that screen... Last edited by pens66; 08-23-2013 at 04:20 AM. |

Other than the graphs (as you know, I'm not a fan of them), I really like it! It'd be nice if the devs could take a bit of inspiration from that.
I like Pens66's too simply because it shows all of the attributes on the Profile screen with coloured text and larger sized numbers.

Some of the attribute colors aren't readable though - this would have to be solved.

I'd also remove the "age" column from the stats. Still confusing it every now and then for games played.

Thanks for the feedback guys..

I want to focus more on the coloring part, showing some border-colors of each team on the pages linking to them. I've done something like that before (underneath every logo - the borders) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...screenshot.png And yes, I also it when there is huge detail in the smaller stuff. Like the news-items. Now they're just plain text messages, but they should have different inbox icons for league-news, trade-news, scouting-news, club-news and more of that. Inside those messages they should include logo's and player faces. Captain's and Alternate's will be done by icons and will be placed somewhere on the page, there is space enough when you finally set in a solid width. Height isn't the issue because that's why they invented scrollers.

The best idea is to move it around it a bit. Like this. [ year ] - [ age ] - [ team ] - [ league ] - [ GP ] - [ G ] - [ A ] - [ P ] …..

I opened up EHM last night because I've been trying to figure out why it seems to be so ahead of everything FHM is doing (interface, drafting, all the stuff we've been discussing on the boards).
The player info screen does need some work. The rating display IMO is fine the way it is, but the player info (draft history, rights, etc.) could be made better and the ratings that appear on the main player info page could use some work. For instance, I don't care if Zdeno Chara can't win a faceoff because he never takes them. So why would I want his faceoff rating to be on the front page for his key ratings? Also, I'd like to easily see when he was drafted and by whom. I'm confident we'll see improvements by release though and if not, we'll be here to make suggestions! |

![]() Designing a profile screen is incredibly difficult, because there is not a solution that fits everybody. Heck, we have had 14 different versions in OOTP, and we still get complaints that something is missing etc.

No, he didn't. The historical mode uses modern finances, because otherwise Sebastian would have to heavily tweak the financial models, which would consume a lot of time. I think using modern financials is a solid solution for the time being.

Season - Age - Team - League or Age - Season - Team - League I'd be happy with either way.
