logo/uni request

I am blown away by the artists posting in this forum! So much talent, and so generous with their time.

I have a few teams that I have been using in DMB for years, but I am switching to OOTP for next season. I have been searching for logos and uniforms, and I've tried to make some myself, but nothing like the quality seen here. Anyway, here are the teams, if anyone would be so kind.

St. Louis Voyageurs (maybe canoe based?)
Roanoke Croatoans
Innocent Bystanders
Miami Hammerheads
Quebec Maple Tappers
Keweenaw Copper Kings
Escanaba Red Bucks
Harrisburg Susquehannas
Juneau Auroras
Eureka Visionaries
Toronto Maple Leafs (similar to attached?)

Thanks!

After finding and toying with Gern's jersey template, I wish to publicly apologize for asking anyone to make jerseys for me. I simply did not realize how difficult this process is, and it seems unreasonable to ask someone to undertake it with no expectation of compensation.

The volume of art on this site led me to believe that it was not that hard, but I was so wrong... kudos to the artists here!

That's an interesting jersey and I'd like to give the Maple Leafs a try... Give me a day or two and I'll see what I can come up with...

Honestly, I can whip up a jersey from scratch in 5 minutes if I have a logo to base it on. Which means a full set (cap, home, road, alt) takes less than 15 minutes. It's not hard, it just takes experience.

The only reason that I did not respond to your post (can't speak for anyone else) is that I don't like to get tied up in a project involving multiple teams. See, I have a horrible habit of getting complacent and not finishing things I set out to do (dynasty reports and uniform projects, for example). So I have a personal rule of never taking on a project that requires a bunch of uniforms. This is for your benefit: I would feel horrible if I made you three jerseys and then stopped - and there's a good chance I would do that.

But that's just me; there are plenty of people here who will help you out. By all means, never feel afraid to ask for ANYTHING here. Even if you have to bump the request three or four times, someone will get around to it. I don't believe I've ever seen a reasonable request get ignored on this forum.

I'll get you something worked up tomorrow night. I'll be spending all week on the road and in a hotel room in the evenings, so I'll have some time to get you going. If TX Ranger is going to take the Leafs, I'll start at the top and work my way down...really it's not difficult any more, like Fyrestorm said, it just takes experience.

Toronto Maple Leafs

Here's my take on this one... I tried to duplicate the one in the photo and I think I got it pretty close, but to me it just doesn't look right in the game... So I made a couple of alternates in the same theme and they IMO look better in game... I just used your logo and bordered it... If you want a circular logo, let me know and I'll whip one up for you...

Before I make the Voyager jerseys...do you want the Canadian/Euro spelling of the name, or do you want the American spelling of the name (notice no 'u' in it) give that it's an American based franchise.

I have to admit, these are some difficult mascots to build logo's to build for, but the Bystanders are done:

Wow!
I was not expecting this! txranger, I am blown away... awesome uniforms!

BSAIndyLions, first - thank you so much! ...the team is based in the US, but I want to keep the french spelling as shout out to the French trading post history of the St. Louis area.

I'd better provide guidance for the other ones, too, since the generosity of the people here is incredible! Honestly, if this is all, then I am more than happy!

Roanoke Croatoans - this refers to the lost colony of Roanoke, VA. The only thing they left for the next ships was the word "croatoan" carved into a tree. So, I was thinking of colors in that vein, and a carved logo on the chest, like a rough "C". I've attached an image of a carved word to illustrate what I mean.

Quebec Maple Tappers - something with the reddish gold color of maple syrup, and maple leaves or trees... perhaps a lumberjack-type thing...

Innocent Bystanders - some sort of chalk outline with or w/o police tape?

Keweenaw Copper Kings - for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan - maybe the outline of the UP map as a crown, or just miner with a copper color?

Escanaba Red Bucks - Red deer like on the poster below?

Juneau Auroras - I'm stumped as to how to do this one - colors could be almost anything with an abstract cloud-like pattern?

Eureka Visionaries - For Eureka,CA... Maybe a tesla coil effect, or just the city name in script?

I cannot thank you enough for this, no matter how easy you make it seem!

Thanks Indy! I like the noir look you chose! I admit it is a hard one to visualize - much obliged!

I was thinking of a mysterious Humphrey Bogart type theme...hence the Broadway style lettering as well.

This is the only one I've made that I kind of like... I used one of the caps from the historical pack, and a pic of the spirit of Detroit statue. A little gaudy, but I wanted to be able to see the logo well...

Thanks again everyone!
