Blowing Leads

I am into sports pretty good, and a lot has been said about teams never blowing 3-0 series leads, except for hockey (twice)

I was in the second season of my fictional league, and I had a 3-0 lead in the LCS and proceeded to lose 4 straight.

Needless to say I was upset, I assumed (I know what it means when you spell it )
That I would get one of the next 4 WRONG!!
I probably had my rotation screwed. and have learned a lot more about roster management since then (last week-two more season completed-another Championship won in that time)

But anyhow, has anyone else experienced this rare phenomenon

I did. My team was 124-38 on the year. I had put together I really good team (I was happy to have been so good. No injuries good free agent pickups and a core of players finally coming around). I had three pitchers win 20 games and a Fourth win 19. My fifth picture was 13-8, of course he was a rookie. So when it came play-off time I decided to go with a 4-man rotation. 124 win team shouldn't change what got them there. I swept the divisional Playoff and that Made my 19 game winner the first pitcher in the first game of the League championship series. I went up 3-0 in easy wins. I had one of my aces on the mound in the forth game and the wheels just came off. I lost the last four games. The funny thing about it is I was never close in any of the games (12-1, 9-6, 4-0, 8-3). Maybe it was because my team had no play-off experience I don't know. A 124 win team not even in the World Series. I should be fired as a coach.

I hope you did not trash your PC.

I was wondering if emotions could be factored in. Even though the uncertainty is interesting. Variables for confidence, over-confidence, or loss of hope could affect a player based on his character ratings.

For example, I would expect a team with 25 Good clutch performers to pull it off, but not a team with normal or lower mixed in nicely.

Not a complaint, just in observation.

Perhaps my team (and yours) got too overconfident and got whipped

Like when my Yanks spanked Seattle, and Oakland in past season (although they were not up 3-0)
