Two-way players as relievers
Maybe I'm missing something obvious (and apologies if there's a thread on this I couldn't find), but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get a player who is listed as a position player slotted into a bullpen role.
This is peculiar to the new bullpen setup in OOTP14, I had no issues doing this in OOTP13 and prior. Just dragging the player from the list of available pitchers to the pen doesn't work (although it does if you're starting him), and they obviously don't show up automatically like the other relievers. And this highlights another change from 13 to 14 - anyone who is rated as a pitcher at all now shows up as a pitcher on the screen where you set up the pitching staff. Previously you had to pick "all players" from the dropdown to get a position player to appear.

Have you tried it the other way? Listing him as a reliever and then putting him on the position player depth chart?

I change the position to reliever, do auto bullpen or whatever to get the pitcher in there and then change him back to a position player and do same to the lineup (or he should still be there)

So I played around with changing positions a little. What I found is that if I change a position player's listed position to MR then I can put him in the pen, but if I change him back he'll disappear from the pen setup.
If I leave him as a reliever he will stay in the position player depth chart. So I suppose that's my workaround for the moment. I have some concern that this may impact his development - don't know if this is true, I don't have any real evidence this is true. I suppose it just runs counter to how I've done things in prior versions.

I would hope that it WOULD affect his development.....a player trying to do both can't spend as much time perfecting either as a one-way player.....
