Kershaw Injured - Returns as Superman
Had to share this. I lost C. Kershaw to an injury late in the season for 8-9 weeks. Upon his eligibility to come off the DL I sent him to the minors for a rehab start in my AAA affiliates last game of the season. Kershaw proceeds to throw a no-hitter, walking only one, and facing the minimum.
I contemplated firing my AAA manager for allowing him to go so deep in a rehab start but decided to only berate him behind closed doors. Following the start, my team makes the playoffs and Kershaw pitches nine more games. In his final game, Game 4 of World Series, he no-hits Detroit. Two no hitters in the span of about 45 days. Love seeing stuff like this. |

You can berate yourself for not putting him on a pitch count for his rehab starts. Is your AAA manager really going to go out there on his own authority and tell him to sit down? On the other hand it all worked out well, so congrats!

Or Kershaw injured, grows goatee, now unhittable.
