That pretty much IS the Brooklyn Nets logo, just with a baseball instead of a basketball.

I know they're not choices, but I'd say definitely either Portland/Vancouver or Charlotte (I usually call the team the "Carolina ______" when I do that one).

I like Charlotte but my mom lives in OK City and they certainly need more excitement there.

Just say no to Canada, put a new team in the Carolinas and move the Blue Jays to Brooklyn.

Canada has a better record of supporting baseball than the state of Florida does, at this point.

Also, saying that there's no difference between St. Pete and Tampa is like saying there's no difference between St. Louis and East St. Louis. I'm pretty sure the Cardinals, even with their fanbase, would have some issues packing (ok, poor phrasing there) the house in East St. Louis.

Agreed. I'm a native Brooklynite and would love to see a baseball franchise there but, the Yankees and Mets would never allow it.

In fact, any team that would try to relocate to New York, Northern & Central NJ and parts of Connecticut would be moving to Yankees and Mets territory.
Realistically would never happen.

The Major League Rules expressly state that no city can be home to more than two clubs, regardless of the size of its population. So unless that rule is changed, no, three clubs in the New York City area is impossible.

(Interestingly, the NHL is the only one of the 'big four' leagues to have three clubs in the greater NYC area: Devils, Islanders, and Rangers.)

a.) move Miami Marlins to Montreal

b.) move Tampa to Miami and have them become a regional team-45 games in Miami;25 games in Tampa ; 11 games in Orlando.

If they were listed as Brooklyn would that rule still apply?

Relocating a sportsteam from one city to another??? That's completely rediculous! I know OOTP is just a game and you can do whatever you want, but come on, moving a team to another city?
Imagine if that would happen in real life. That would be utterly preposterous!

Brooklyn (my hometown) is part (1/5) of New York City. NYC is made up of five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island (my other hometown).

That rule would still apply.

Doesn't that rule specifically state that it's there's a 50 mile "territory" extending from the metropolitan area of the team's city? If so, that's sort of a moot point.

I may be thinking of a different sport though.
