Why is New York City listed as the capitol of the United States?

Canada's capital is listed at Toronto.. It's Ottawa

They assigned the capitals to the largest city in the country in the world_default file. Pretty much all of the countries listed here, List of countries whose capital is not their largest city - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia have the wrong capital assigned to it in the world file.
