Congrats on the new job!

I hope others will play around with the fight card function, and maybe see what I have seen [or not].

What is happening to me is that I may pick the venue and date in the fight card, but the date and location that show up in the fighter's record are not the date and venue I picked. Sometimes the fighter's record does not show the fight at all.

There may be a way to make fight cards work properly, but I am finding it to be more complicated and less reliable than it is in version 2.5.

Maybe I'm just not understanding how the version 2.6 fight card function works.

Do you choose the date and venue when you set up the main event, and then apply those settings to the entire card?

Or do you choose date and venue in the editor?

Photo disappears

The photo on the right of the screen disappears when a fight starts.

I think you mean fights played in the scheduler don't show up in the history, if am wrong please correct me...

If I am right I have looked for this bug 4 times, and can't repeat it. It would be a massive help if someone could give me a fool proof way to repeat this bug.

To set the date/venue of a fight card you should use the edit menu options "Change Date" and "Change Venue". These settings are copied to each bout when you start the fight card. If this does not happen let me know and I will look into it further...

I think what is being said, Paul is the Win-Loss records are not showing up for each fighter in the list of scheduled bouts as it did in previous versions.

Have you used the earlier versions much? There are a few small things in TB2013 that seemed more intuitive in TB 2.0 and 2.5.

After you have auto scheduled all your bouts the final screen where it displays all the bouts to run doesn't tell the fighters current record or if they hold a belt I think someone mentioned. So I want to see Tim Moore 21-2-1 18 Kos vs Kevin Bivins 15-4-0 11 Kos, and an icon if they hold the belt before I press the button to run the fights.

For example in 2.5 we can see the records and if a fighter has a title (in the screen Harrison has 2 titles):

But in 2.6 we don't have the records and the title belts.

Exactly. It would be nice to be able to see records and titles when you autoschedule because for fighters with lots of KOs in their record, you might want to make the fight "interactive"--in other words, you might want to watch it. When one fighter has a title, you might want to edit it and make the bout a title bout in a fancy venue--and then watch it.

The screen from 2.5 that Javier shows also has the fighter's weight class and rank--useful information to have if you are running a large universe and want to focus on particular fighters in a particular weight class.

The edit menu option "Change Date" does make every date on the card the same. However, it does not do anything to the venue. When you click the "Fight Options" tab the venue still shows up as "Random."

And I'm still having trouble getting the results of a fight card to show up in the fighter's history. Clicking "Update Fighter Records" in the edit menu works sometimes, and sometimes not. Has anybody else seen this?

The edit menu option "Copy Main Event Options to All" still makes every bout on the card a 12 round bout, even the opening bout.

This option does work, but it sets the venue as you press the start button. So until that time the venue is unset in each individual bout. I can see how this might seem strange so I will make it set the venue earlier..

If I select the main event to 6 rounds and select "Copy Main Event Options to All", all the bouts have 6 rounds.

In version 2.5 the default when you use the autoscheduler to set up a fight card is 10 rounds for the main bout, either 10 rounds or 8 rounds for the co-main bout, and either 8 rounds, 6 rounds or 4 rounds for the supporting bout, preliminaries and opening bout.

When you click "main event options to all" in 2.5 it copies the date and venue of the main event, but not the number of rounds. This, coupled with the 10-8-6-4 default number of rounds, is desirable because--as far as I know--you never see an opening bout between two relatively minor fighters in real life boxing that has the same number of scheduled rounds as the big-hype, big-payday headliner.

In version 2.6 the number of rounds for *all* bouts in fight cards appears to be whatever number you select in the autoscheduler. You then have to go to each bout in the card and manually reduce the number of scheduled rounds for the preliminary fights.

The fight card feature is one of those things that I think is a bit more intuitive in TBCB 2.5 than in TBCB 2.6.

This sounds like something that shouldn't be too hard to fix.

I have fixed this, however should I change the defaults? This is what TB2.5 does:

6 fights: 10-8-8-6-6-4
4 fights: 10-8-6-6
2 fights: 10-8

Should I change it to:

6 fights: 10-8-8-6-6-4
4 fights: 10-8-6-4
2 fights: 10-4

Thoughts?

I think that would be great Paul, my suggestions.

6 fights: 10-10-8-8-6-4 or 10-10-10-8-6-4
4 fights: 10-10-8-6
2 fights: 10-10 or 10-8

Only because the second fight as co-main is also usually 10 rounds.

Done... and for good measure I have made these the defaults to settings in the settings.cfg file so you can change them if you so wish...
