Hey guys. I was just wondering, what was the last roster update included with a patch? What moves need to made manually, or are you all still considering releasing the roster as a mod?

The official rosters are frozen at opening day. So you'd have to make everything after that manually if you want updated rosters.

But we are still considering releasing updated rosters as a mod, so far as I know. Last I talked to haveband about it we were considering shooting for early August with them. Dunno if that's still the timeframe or not. I know I still have lots more to do with adding everyone from the draft.

What ratings would you suggest for Dustin Ackley in the OF / CF? With his struggles with the bat, and the emergence of Miller @ ss and Franklin @ 2b, he has 12 starts in CF.

I don't totally understand your question. But when/if we release the roster update as a mod it should have everyone that was taken in the draft this year, plus a few more players that are undrafted free agents, available in your draft.

We have him at 125/118/82 range/error/arm right now.

I'd give him a 150 CF position rating.

MISSING STATS/TEAMS FOR HISTORICAL PLAYERS WHEN STARTING A NEW MLB 2013 GAME

Just wondering why teams aren't assigned to some historical players when playing a current (2013) MLB game. For example Cy Young has no team prior to 1900 (should be Cleveland Spiders) and therefore his early wins aren't recognized and he is not top of wins leaderboard. This is the case for a number of historical players and distorts the career and season leaders lists and has been like this for a number of versions now. Strange because if you play a historical game and use 2012 rosters for example, then everything is as it should be teams and numbers wise.

Everything isn't as it should be with the historical game. For Cy Young, for his years with the Spiders, they appear in my league as CL4 as the team. But, under the Indians career "wins" list, the Spiders are included in his totals and he ranks 1st with 270.

Many historical players from prior to 1900 do not have a team assigned for parts of their careers. This impacts negatively on MLB records as these seasons are not counted as officially seasons. For example, anyone who looks at the all time wins leader on the leaderboards section will NOT see Cy Young as he has not been credited with any of his wins prior to 1900 (as a Cleveland Spider).

THIS IS ONLY AN ISSUE IN MLB 2013 GAMES NOT HISTORICAL SIMS USING 1871-2010 DATABASE.

This is an example of a line from a pitching stat export.

The problem with the team code is that the old teams aren't in the current MLB db we use, so there's no code for them. As for the missing stats would guess there was an import issue at some point. Hopefully we can get those stats added at some point. Will mention this to the appropriate people.

This mess-up with Mike Jacobs and his missing stats must be because he actually took over poor Magglio Ordonez player ID in OOTp14.
Mike Jacobs is now 36861 in OOTP14, but was 18710 in OOTP13
Magglio Ordonez 36861 in 2013 OOTP, but then totally deleted in OOTP14.

I think Magglio shouldn´t be deleted in the first place, even if he´s not playing anymore.

He shouldn't have been deleted. Something weird happened with him. You can see reports of him being renamed different names in different peoples games and some other weird stuff earlier in this thread. I'm not sure if we ever figured out what the issue with him was or not. I'll have to check on that again.
