I'm going to be in the minority on this one with Ali he WAS a champ when he came back from his suspension/exile and in probably the deepest competitive era that the heavyweights have EVER seen. Foreman yes the other versions clearly has two foreman's for that reason 10 years is a huge difference.

I used the ratings in the game and Haye won by 12 round Unanimous Decision. It was an easy victory for Haye as he scored 3 knockdowns and pretty much battered Fury the entire fight. |

Has anyone rated Byrant Jennings, the Philadelphia heavyweight yet? Also Derry Matthews is rated at junior-feather/superbantam when he is in fact a lightweight.

Cap P.S. We've got a good-looking cruiserweight coming up (10-0-0 6) named Denton Daley. He's fighting Jean Marc Monrose of France at Casino Rama September 14th. Daley is a good all-round athlete; agile with quick hands and some power. He's basically learning on the job as he only had 26 amateur contests. Trained by Syd Vanderpool.

Just throwing this out there because of seeing a lot of newcomers around ... the guys who do the database are not paid employees of the company ... they do it for free and are really really great at it ... but the thing to remember is if you don't like a rating you can easily change it ...

Hi guys, IceTea just moved, and I am in the process of moving so it will be about 2 weeks until I can get back to full time updates to the database. I will always consider suggestions, and thanks to Hanson Bros. for pointing out that it is very easy to make changes to your own personal liking. Sometimes people will see fighters very differently. I get bashed all the time for being a Victor Ortiz fan, and I see him as tough while others see him as a quitter etc...
That's just an example. A database thread to discuss is a good idea. |

And regarding Ortiz, even for those who don't like him, I can't recall him being in a boring fight - win or lose. |

Thanks Hamed, I agree he is always in fun fights. He seems to be unlucky more then anything else in my opinion. He is coming back in September.

Pretty realistic compared to the real guy. Right, I heard him against Guerrero. I'd give Victor a decent shot (puncher's chance) because Robert is not a big banger - especially @ 147. |

Ice Tea and Jackyle. In a tweet to Title Bout Boxing I suggested they run a fight between Canadian heavyweight champ Neven Pajkic and Montreal-resident Oscar Rivas who is recognized by the NCC as the leading contender. They tell me Rivas is not in the game, so I took a stab just so you'd have a base to work from. Rivas is heavier than when he beat Kubrat Pulev in the amateurs. He stands 6'1" and weighs around 235 now. He's a bit of a plodder. Forgets to jab. Not great defensively but has a sturdy chin and some power with overhand rights and short lefthooks. Early on he tired by the 4th. Best fight was a split decision over local boy Sylvera Louis, a fairly slick boxer. Rivas, alias Kaboom, has being feeding off Europeans with numerous kayo losses on their records. Presently 12-0 with 7 knockouts (6 in 3 rounds or less). Hard to say how good he will get.
Cap P.S. Just ran fight between Pajkic (rated by the game at Pre-Prime) and my version of Rivas. Rivas won a majority decision. I lean towards the more experienced Pajkic in RL right now.

I honestly could see that happening in real life too - was glad to see Teddy Atlas on FNF say he thought it was a great fight for Haye to take. I hope he beats Fury into next week!

Haye is an ambush fighter jumping in and out with attacks. As large as Fury is, he has to stay close to Haye and fight him on the inside where he is much more proficient. Haye, fights on the inside like Dennis Rodman played the post, he sorta flops around.

True & if Cunningham could drop Fury, I can picture Haye trying to test his chin early & often.

I'm a former player who's considering upgrading to the new game.
Curious about something. Given all the fighters that have been rated in the mods section, why are there still only a relatively small amount of fighters in the db? Is there a reason that the many, many other guys that have been rated as mods haven't been officially added? It would be much easier and nicer to have them included in the db, rather than having to download everyone individually from the mod threads which is a major, major pain in the butt. Not a big deal, and I don't want to sound as if I'm complaining or criticizing, I'm not. Just wondering ![]() |

As of the submission of this post, there are 8,979 boxers in the game. I would guess that 15% are rated in more than one weight class.
As for the mods section, every rater has a different style and method in rating fighters. If submissions from many different people are uploaded into the official database, they won't work together due to the differences in rating style and differences in constructing the bio section. There has to be some uniformity. Jackyle, who is very active in the mods section is on the database team and has submitted many new boxers to the official database. Welcome back!

Nice upgrades on Branco!
Some of my CW champs were willing to give the 2 rated version of Branco a shot @ their belt, they might pass on the 6 rated version. |

Hi, IceTea. Don't know if I was clear about Oscar Rivas above. My ratings skills are questionable at best when it comes to others using fighters I created. I was hoping one of you guys could take Rivas where I started and improve his ratings based on your present system.
![]() Also wondering about Montreal welterweight JoJo Dan (alias Ionut Dan Ion). Has he been added to the database? I was going to tweet him and tell him so if he is. Spreading the word about TB2013. Cap
