Commish help needed

I need the opinion of an experienced online commish. Is there a "master" password for a online league. I inherited a league and have been running it for years - five human years to be precise. And I've never needed a master password until now. For whatever reason the way ootp is designed I can do whatever I want with my file except now Ootp14 is not letting me input new gms without some magic master password. I can't think of what purpose it would fulfill as I have access to everything else through my commish account, except for now, at this stage of the Offseason (november) I can't see league settings. Is this a bug or a bad design idea?

Even if there was a master password it seems bizarre that I can't reset it by deleting online settings. A flaw in design like this could easily ruin a league. Does anyone have a perspective on this?
