Dynamic Schedule Length
In the Dynamic League options there is a check for schedule length. Does this change the monthly length of the season (IE Season is March to July), or the number of games themselves? If the second, how often does it change this? I'm doing a fictional league starting in 1871, so the number of games is rather low compared to the modern era, and I need to know if the game will handle that for me, or if I will need to manually increase it over the years.
EDIT: I've also read that for a fiction league, you should have some "burn years" to let the game settle properly into a realistic rhythim as far as performance, Ai decisions, rosters, etc. Then you wipe the stats clean so the record books aren't tainted and start playing. How many years is reccomended for that? Is just one enough? Last edited by Silent_Thunder; 07-09-2013 at 11:02 AM. |

1) IIRC, the scheduled number of games will change, not the monthly length. It's somewhat random in terms of when it changes and how often. Or if it ever does. Personally, I leave automatic evolution off as I find it's just not realistic enough.
2) I will usually sim a fictional league for a decade or so before jumping in. That gives ample "burn-in" time and also gives the league finances a few years to stabilize. I like to have a little history, and it gives me a better base for evaluating the players. I've never "wiped" a league after doing that, though. |
