Does overall budget affect player demands?
For our online league we are changing the finances of the league so that inflation is low. We are doing this by putting static values for media contracts and revenue, but we are leaving budget unchanged. As such a team might have a 230mil budget, but in reality will be closer to 160mil.
My question is, when trying to sign contracts, does the AI consider the overall budget of all the teams or is it just arbitrary or independant of the budgets? Would lowering the budget adjust the player demands? |

Player Demands are effected by overall cash in the league. If you have teams with large amounts of spare cash it will effect demands and can have an adverse effect on lower budget teams.
I am pretty sure spare cash has a bigger effect than budgets although budgets should be "set" by team revenue. If teams consistently do not spend all of their revenue they can stockpile a ton of money.

Player demands are affected by overall financial health of the league, not just spare cash.
If your league is rich and has lots of $$$, player demands will be higher. Not so much $$$, not so high demands. As explained by Markus, FA demands work on supply and demand. If there's lots of supply ($$$), the demand will be high. |
