Fake Wild Pitch

Just saw this in today's Brewers-Astros game and immediately decided that I need this strategy in OOTP 15: The fake wild pitch! The pitcher intentionally throws the ball over the catcher's head. The runner at 3rd goes for home. The catcher immediately turns around, catches the ball on the rebound, and the runner is stranded between 3rd and home.

Wow that would be awesome to see. Why is it not on the highlights on mlb.com?

The game just finished, maybe it will take a moment to get there. Was in the 7th inning IIRC.

Except...it's not an usual thing it is? and if a team intentionally tried it I would bet most of time it wouldn't work

And if it was intentional then they could probably call it a balk.

Lets face it, it wasn't a "fake Wild Pitch" It was an Intentional wild Pitch, I'd be willing to bet he was charged with a WP in the scorebook. If it was in actuality a "Fake" Wild Pitch then it would most certainly be called for a Balk.

Yeah, let's add this right away. Right after I have a way to prevent my catcher from throwing the ball away when the AI steals second base with men on first and third and two outs in the bottom of the 9th of a tie game. I lost a game this way last night.
