Finally, you have some of the most experienced players of this game, say that stats only is a viable option to use. Instead of dismissing you could ask for help or better yet search for all the threads that already layout and explain how to play and enjoy stats only.

I've seen this mentioned several times on the forums ever since I bought 13 (now split between 13 and 14 on the 3 online leagues I'm in). What exactly do you guys mean by stats only? I rarely pay much attention to stars when evaluating players, mainly making my own judgement based on the player ratings. Is that what you are referring too, or do you literally mean you guys only use stats, live BA, OBP, ERA, K/BB ratios, ect?

Yes. Do an advanced search for threads with "Stats Only" in their title and read them.

This discussion gets beaten into the ground 2-3 times a year. Get used to it. It's apples & oranges, honestly. Do what you enjoy - it's a game, not life.
