Heartbreaking

Don Black is pissed for a broken up no hitter with one out in the ninth.

Lost a shutout, too. Still, considering this guy beat that guy, this guy should be very happy with the 'W'. He had only 33 other 'Ws' in his real-life major league career.

At least his team still won the game. You want to talk about heartbreaking? I once lost a no-hitter on a walk-off, three-run home run. I also lost a game in which my pitcher DID pitch a no-no. A walk, a stolen base, a fielder's choice, a sac fly, and a 1-0 loss on no hits.

I must be confused. Doesn't "no-no" mean no hits and no walks?

This. I've always heard it used interchangeably.

If we are referring to a no-hitter, then it simply means no hits. There could be runs scored due to walks and/or errors, although this is rare.

Didn't Burnett have a game a few years ago where he walked 9 in a no hitter? Something like that
