Surface Pro?

Anybody playing OOTP on a Surface Pro? Does it work? I know you can't use a Surface RT since it only allows it's apps to run due to architecture.

If anyone's using it, how's the screensize at 10"? Is clicking (pointing) difficult? How's it run, sim and speed-wise?

Any information would be great. Looking to get rid of my clunky old laptop and to play OOTP on the go would be great (iOOTP can only do so much...)

Mouse, this is a good question (although I had to look up what a Surface Pro is - I guess I don't know because I'm not in the market; I like my clunky "old" laptop) because of what you said about OOTP on the go as opposed to iOOTP. I'd be interested in what people have to say who have tried OOTP on tablets like this. The only thing that has me shaking my head about is the 10-inch screen. OOTP scrunched into a display that small . . . well, that's why they invented iOOTP. Which, AFAIK, is basically a watered-down version of the game.

Yes, iOOTP is a watered down OOTP but it's still great fun when your playing on your iPhone at a family party your stuck at

As far as Surface Pro, I've done a bit more research and confirmed it will work, the Pro has a full version of Windows 8 that runs just like a laptop (better, in fact, since 8 was sort of designed for touch screen).

My only concern is the screen size. The resolution is 1920 x 1080, same as my 17" laptop, but how's that going to look in a 10.6" screen? Will I be able to pinch to zoom into something if I do need a greater detail (although, realistically, that's the last thing I'd want to do...) That stylus pen it comes with nullifies my fear of some of the buttons being too small and fat fingering them.

If I get the Surface, I'd also be getting the cover/keyboard/touchpad so the option for a mouse is there. Like I said, my only concern is going blind trying to see it. I tried installing it on a Best Buy demo device but the security settings didn't allow it without an admin password. I'm sure "hey can I install some software" won't go over too well over there.

In case anyone is curious, there's two versions of the Surface: RT and Pro. The RT (it may just be called Surface, as opposed to Surface Pro) is designed much like an iPhone, only App Store apps can run on it. The Pro is literally a laptop in tablet form, Intel processor and all.

Do you have a friend, family member, or business acquaintance who owns a Surface Pro? If so, maybe you can ask him or her to let you download the demo so you can take a look at it.

You know a game has made it when customers buy devices based on whether they can play the game Iir not.

Or that one is completely out of touch with technology when they see Surface Pro and think vacuum cleaner.

Aside from web browsing, which is mostly limited to baseball related content that I can easily do on my phone, my laptop is basically my OOTP adapter.

Occasionally I'll open photoshop too though...to create logos

No issues? Can you take a screenshot or a picture of some screens?

Is there a screen shot short cut in OOTP? Surface Keyboard doesn't have a PrintScreen key...

The only thing people may gripe about from my experience is font size. Surface comes defaulted to "Zoom In" and I had to back this off to normal to play games. Fonts could be considered small, but it hasn't bothered me. I usually play out games, don't sim so I don't know how fast the machine would be for doing long sims...

Yes I read about the text being zoomed in to 150%, which could look funky when not programmed for it.

How small is the text? Scaling it back to ~100%, can you easily read a players stat history?

Guys make jokes and all of a sudden it gets ugly here? I'm sorry now that I rescued this thread from oblivion. I should have let it slide off the front page with zero replies.
