Needing to Refresh and Reinstall
I've had more trouble with this year's versions than normal, and after updating to the latest version, I can't even create new games.
What I'd like to do is wipe all OOTP 14 files and the app off my Mac and then reinstall. Easy enough to delete the .app file, but where can I find all the files on a Mac? I can't even locate them from this year's version. Also, once I find and wipe everything clean and start fresh, will I need my license key again? What's the best method to get that? Thanks for any help I can get on this. |

I don't have the game for the Mac but one aspect is always best followed: before you uninstall the game first unlicense it. That preserves your two licenses. If you just go ahead and uninstall first you lose one of your licenses.
Yes, you will need your license key to reactivate your license after you reinstall the game. |

Well, I have always heard it recommended that you unlicense before uninstalling. It's a practice I've followed during beta, for example, just to be safe. Maybe the practice has changed, or maybe it doesn't matter anymore. If there's an official ruling from the powers-that-be which says unlicensing is not necessary, then I'll stand corrected.

Just stating that it can be done that way. There's 1000's of things you can do different ways in OOTP, is there one specific one that's official for each different thing? |
