Player History

A quick question. If I were to move a team will the player history follow the new team and will retired players history show the old team name? I have never moved a franchise so I am just wondering if this is something I want to do.

I am reasonably sure that the old team names will remain the same. The game writes all of this data in text files, line by line, and I have never seen evidence of it going back to rewrite any of those lines in situations like this. Otherwise, try just changing the name of a team. You will not see a lengthy pause while the game goes back over thousands of text files, over hundreds of thousands of lines of data, searching for and editing the team name involved. I, for one, am grateful for this.

The history will remain. I moved the Rays to Havana Cuba and player stats and accomplishments were tracked properly both before/after the move.

League and team history pages will also keep track of former locations or names.
