Importing of Historical Player Per Season
My fictional league is based in 2013. What I'm doing to spice things up is import 1-2 real life Hall of Famers.
I want when I import Cy Young or other players from different ERAs for their ratings to be relevant to todays game and basically not look like this... I want these guys I import to be an impact player. |

Cy Young is fine. Run an OSA Rescout or just rescout Cy Young and he will be fine, also use Neutralized stats vs reals stats. Cy Young in another league while not as good as IRL has won 22 or more games 3 times and is 5th in active ERA. He has also been moved to a CL in yr 7.

i found this to be a problem as well
what i am doing now is making a giant list of major league players all with adjusted stats/ratings to match with a fictional or mlb quickstart it is just because the imported player is rated exactly to his RL stats and not to the way players are being rated coming into a fictional league. fielding ratings get a big problem as well short term suggestion for you. 1 go to baseball reference, go to seasons, then on the right is lists go to all time major league yearly batting and pitching stats 2 find a basic year for cy young, say 1904. divide cy's imported stats by the numbers in 1904 then multipy for the modern era this is what i am doing now for 500 players fpr example my cy young player will wind up as 2.51 ERA, 44 W , 229K give him a 93 seed about a 64 gb% and 180 stamina and you will see a very very good pitcher, in line adjusted as he should be its a little bit of work for each player but i think you will enjoy it more. i will start a thread in a few days with my updates to this project |

I am looking forward to seeing that. I had Babe Ruth for one league and he was the only player I was ever able to import.

Why weren't you able to import other players? Most pre 1900 pitchers are gonna have weird stats since most of them threw 78-85 and have a fastball at 4 out of 10.

Well 'll tell you one thing I never did was try and import a pre 1900 pitcher.
Things are tough enough without some 5'8" dude jumping up and hollering in my ear about his only getting 400 innings this year could he please have ol hoss's too? |
