For me it is the international complexes, and the fact I can finally do international scouting in my saves. I started my Citivir lg in the 2009 release and it wouldn't allow me to use international discoveries the first game it was available.

Now with the complex and discoveries, I could finally get players from my birth nation to go in the game.

I THINK this is an addition, if not, I don't recall seeing it before v 14, and it has come up in the suggestion threads....

Injured players being named to All-Star rosters. This is great! If it isn't new, then I just never saw it before. In v 14 I have had 2 players get AS slots while they were on the DL...Wade Miley was 12-1 and was put on the shelf, prior to selections, and could not play in the game itself. He was credited with an ASG in his history.

I REALLY like this.

The thing I like the most, though, is probably the new scouting system.

How about the new playoff screen? OOTP nailed it.

I like the new bullpen model, font-size choices and player creation options.

International features for sure, but one feature that I think hasn't gotten enough attention, and which I really like: lefthanded specialist relievers. If you look at real life MLB stats, you find pitchers like Randy Choate and Clay Rapada. For his career, Choate has a 209/62 K/BB ratio against lefties, and a 63/89 K/BB ratio against righties (yes, he's walked more righties than he has struck out). Or Clay Rapada - he's held lefties to a .168/.257/.236 line for his career, but righties have mashed him to the triple slash .342/.459/.613. Basically any lefty facing Rapada hits like a pitcher, and any righty facing Rapada is Barry Bonds.

So in real life, lefty specialists have completely insane platoon splits - just off the charts crazy. OOTP never had those kinds of pitchers before (it sometimes had Stuff splits for pitchers, but never had Control splits anywhere close to big enough), and even if it did, you never had the option to use them as specialists anyway. Now in OOTP, a very small number of true relief specialists are either created in the draft or evolve over time. They even have the right kind of pitch repertoires (basically all specialists in real life and in OOTP rely heavily on a slider). The AI even recognizes specialists and uses them appropriately.

That adds some good strategy to the game - about as much strategy as platooning does in lineup construction. I haven't seen much discussion of the feature (I'm not sure everyone even knows it's there ), but I think it's pretty cool.

For me it is the player development updates.

I don't even have the away uniform feature on, I disabled it about the 2nd or 3rd day of playing.

International Complexes are a nice addition I must admit. And don't forget the playoff report screen. That is pretty cool.

player pools customizable by nationality down to the second decimal point for me by far. it was an enormous hassle to try and get the nationality mix right for me last year and this year it's 10 minutes for each league and boom, perfect
