another poster just reminded me of one of my biggest complaints (only real negative one I have) about OOTP, the Draft Expenses Budget, whatever you are budget is 100% gone no matter how little you spend on draft bonuses.

for example, if I have $7m budgeted but only spend $3m then that extra $4m is gone. Which IMO flat out sucks, especially in online lgs. That $4m is a HUGE amount when you are tight against a budget/cap and can mean the difference in re-signing a key player, trading for a a key guy down the stretch, ect.

Definitely not a deal breaker, but just very frustrating.

I would think this would be easy to do. Allow Managers and General Managers the ability to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. If you personally are a GM or Manager, this gives you an extra incentive besides the World series or playoffs. For example: If you as a manager or GM won the World Series 5 times or made the playoffs 10 times over a thirty year period and had 2000 wins, I think you would qualify for the HOF.

I have to say that I'm increasingly desperate for a refinement to the Player Strategy that would allow you to auto-bench relief pitchers (or any players, but especially RPs) for a specified number of days. Maybe a "bench X days if fatigue level < X%" option. Please please please.

Also, on the 7-Day Lineups -- it's driving me crazy that when you move a player up or down in the batting order, his fielding position gets deleted. It is a pain to have to constantly reassign a position just because you want him batting in a different slot!

currently there is the battery icon, which works for a very broad, quick glance but I'm constantly clicking on my pitchers to see what their true rest status is. I love these ideas especially making rest status available when making custom views. To go one step further I would like to see rest status for position players added in these areas as well. Currently we get the battery icon for position players when they're exhausted, but to find out if they are getting tired you need to open each players profile. When setting lineups for the day end up going through each player profile for each game. I like to give players rest before they hit the exhausted phase so they don't become exhausted mid-game and risk injury or substitution. Since I play with my backup catcher in the starting lineup, if my catcher needs to leave the game the AI will use a non-catcher rather than use the backup catcher since he started in right field. To avoid this, I make sure that the starting catcher isn't tired and change the lineups if he is. Same goes for other position players, if I could see that they were starting to get tired on the lineup screen or in a custom view that would make setting daily lineups a whole lot simpler.

Not the end of the world if it doesn't happen but if it's easy to add an option even to the custom views it would be much appreciated.

Reverse the sort order of this report to show the most current year at the top. I usually go in this to see the current years numbers, which are the only ones that change.

There's already a nice feature where, in setting up lists for the first year player draft, you can ask the AI to create your list for this round or all rounds.

But it would be great if the AI list would use your filters. So, for example, the AI would create the list totally from college players or from pitchers with at least a certain stuff potential.

I wish we could have the option when playing all-star game it could be between players of the home country the league is in and top foreign players. This would be nice for small
Leagues. I have a single league with 10 teams and 2 divisions with many foreign players would like to see that

One minor suggestion that I would love to see:

The player selection buttons to be available on the trade screen. If I want to shop around a specific package of players around the league, it would save time to be able to do a right-click and add them all to the trade package than to click-drag 3-5 times (up to 29 times) depending on the package I am putting together.

Wait, I can shop around a package of players rather than just individual players? How do I do it?

Right, I used the term "shop around" in a confusing place, so my apologies for that. Since you can't put multiple players in the "Shop Player Around" system, AND teams responding can only offer you single players in return, I generally don't use that function very often.

Those last two tidbits could be another couple of suggestions for future improvements.

First of all I love the game, I almost freaked when I checked the Database option and found that I spent 22376 minutes since starting in Mid-April. That’s 15 days, I’m surprised I’m still married but the wife likes me in library vs. the bar…. Beer is cheaper in the library too…
So my requests are (Not in any order of need, would like to see any accomplished):
1) Weather cancellations and then schedule double headers. If possible, let the teams go to 26-man rosters for those days (like in real life now).
2) Streaks tabs in Stats – let us customize which streaks we want to see. Whether they are all-time or current let us choose.
3) Pitchers Profile, please add runs stat. You have ER, but sometimes a poor fielding team can cause the ERAs to be lower.
4) All Players Profile, can we have the option of either showing Minor stats or not? Like in Baseball-reference.com?
5) Someone mentioned this already, but I miss the % spot start. I like the pitch count added, but emergency starter doesn’t seem to work as well as the % spot start did.
6) I mentioned this couple of years ago, but can we have the Symbols (Out of minor options, refusal to minors, etc) for the Team Transaction Screen to the Lineups and Pitching screens. Really helps when trying to decide who to demote or possible DFA or even release. Love the Arrows that were added back in 13 I think.
7) Awards – Fireman awards? I always have to waste my custom award on this.
8) This is more of a “it bugs me” but on the Players Profile page “Runs” for the hitters is the standard “Topps” baseball card style ‘ G, AB, R, Hits etc. But in the Lineups, it is tossed over behind the RBI column. Pitching - is all over the place. Can we have standardization across the board?

Another teeny suggestion for the trade screen, the ability to scroll through the teams in your league with the scroll wheel like you can scroll through your teams on the transaction screen.

When I do a player search and filter it by level the 'International Complex' players show up when I filter for level for 'Major League' only. Would be nice to be able to filter and see only the International players and that they would not show up as Major League level.

Shortlist functionality:

- Ability to save multiple shortlists by a name.
- Ability to load a shortlist.

These two features come in handy when a user has one shortlist for prospects and draft picks and another short list to track players traded or left in free agency.

I really miss this functionality from FM, and would love to see it in this game.

This might be tricky, but dovetailing on SunDevil's suggestion, here:

I would LOVE to be able to shortlist a player before he enters the league(and to SD's point, load a list of players that have not yet entered the league to be shortlisted when they do appear). This would be helpful for historical leagues, in general, and random debut leagues, in particular.
