Created Player Being Waived...
Hey Guys,
I created my son, and I made him pretty good to make it fun. He went #1 in the 2013 Draft and was selected to the Houston Astros. I start off in Rookie Ball and work my way up to the Majors so I am not the GM of the Astros. I saw that after a few months, in the offseason he was Waived, this happened about 3-4 times. He is a top prospect, so why would they waive him. Thanks for help |

The 40-man roster strikes again, I'll bet.

Try it with the 40-man roster rule turned off.

Make sure your lowest level of minors does not have roster limits. That's usually the cause.
If you're not using roster limits in your lowest minors, then it might be tough to find out why this is happening. Based on what Markus has said in the past, there are many aspects of the AI code that are designed to prevent something like this, but due to the infinite number of ways that users can set up their games and play them, he's not been able to pinpoint and duplicate how this might happen in certain individual cases. |

Also, there is a talent change randomness factor in this game. Take a peek in the editor at his potentials; is he still the great player as you made him?
One more thing. No #1 is a lock IRL or in this game. I cannot speak with authority, but it may have become his fate to be a "bust" (actual ratings are not improving).

One thing to make sure of when creating a player, make sure his service time is cleared. Sometimes when you create a player (usually when you make them older) they come pre-loaded with service time even if you alter their age. May have something to do with it.
