Can you change league name AFTER creation ?

Anyone know of a way to change the league name after the league has already been created ?

Please let me know ASAP.

A league I'm in didn't change the league name on Creation and would like to change it now.

Thanks,
Chas

Correct me if I'm wrong, guys, but I think all you need to do is go into your OOTP folder and change the league name from whateverItIsNow.lg to WhateverYouWantItToBe.lg.

Believe that will change it in the League Name only for opening the league.... still will have the wrong name on all reports and upper right corner of the game

That may also cause problems with the game trying to open the League.dat file. I did this once and got an error when the game attempted to open the league that brought my system to a halt.

Download Hackman and then open up your league dat file. You can change it there but make sure you dont add or delete any spaces in the file. If you want blank, don't delete, just space bar over.

Here's some reading that discusses what to do, and also illustrates what not to do if you take this on...

There's that post I learned how to do it in.

Worked like a charm for me.

Glad to know it helped someone - I felt bad after JML trashed his league by charging into it.
