Minor League managers changing player positions

I am running into an issue where my minor league managers will switch an SP position to MR when there are more than 5 on the team. Is there a way to have them use starters in the bullpen but not change their position?

Can you adjust your 5 man rotation to a 6 man? There's a sixth slot available on the pitching staff screen.

I don't think that is in your best interest. The pitchers recover based on their position so if they are a SP you wi need to wait 4 to 5 days between appearances, this is why the ai Changes them to MR

Similarly, I'd like an option like "Try to use at position" that's not so definite as "force start". Basically, often I might have, say, a stud 2B making his way through my farm. But I also have a AAA journeyman SS who I'd like to get in some playing time at 2B if he can. But I don't want to force start that SS at 2B, since I'd obviously rather my top prospect get that playing time. Would be great to have him as a "play him at 2B whenever you can, but feel free to start him in other positions if you want".

ok that makes sense. but i think my real issue is that in my rookie league i have a few SP that i drafted that keep getting turned into MR. Making it difficult for me to keep track of them.

Shortlist them. There's nothing wrong with some young SP being used as relievers in the minors. If they are clearly not in the right position then force start them as SP.

Edit

By shortlist them I mean that you can easily follow their progress vs other prospects.
