Opening day has come and after a decent spring, the Ownership has decided they want us to just play .500 ball so the pressure is off. The acquisition of Chuck Klein in the off season has pretty much sealed the fate of Babe Ruth He had a decent spring but this could be his last season, he is relegated to bat vs lefties and pinch hitting.

Good first month for the Cubs, Dean off to a 5-0 record, 1/2 game lead in the NL West, good first month. Division leaders are the Athletics, Tigers, Giants and Cubs, why am I not surprised the Giants are there.

Great month for the Cubs, took control of the West and are starting to really warm up. Division leaders are the Yankees, White Sox in the AL, both new and both starting to pull away, and of course the Giants (not to be unexpected) and Cubs once more. No team is ahead less than 4 1/2 games (White Sox over the Tigers) in the NL W. Gonna be interesting if it stays this way.

July coming up, not much news so far this season, wonder if it will be a normal trading month in this July

WOW, the Cubs won 108 games, the Yankees won 103, what a fantastic season. But the question remains, will the two most successful teams over the regular season be able to take out their league opponents (Giants and White Sox.) It could be a Subway series or an EL series if things go right. Back with indepth playoffs soon.

Gonna post all the games for both rounds(as long as the Cubs are still in it that is). Be back shortly

LCS for the Cubs did not start like we wanted it too or end as we wanted it too. The best two teams in the regular season will be watching the Fall Classic from home as the Giants oust the Cubs in 6 and the White Sox were able to hang on and beat the Yankees in 7. This will be the 6th trip to the WS for the White Sox and the Giants are making their what seems like annual trip, but it is only their 12 trip. The White Sox have defeated the Giants the two times they have faced off in the WS. Should be very interesting.

Giants win Championship #11, what a run they had. The Series started out with three quick New York wins and I thought, that will be that, but the Chisox were able to get one win before the Giants slammed the door and ended the Series.

1931 is over and the Cubs, despite the best record in baseball, suffered our first post seaon defeat. But that was last year, 1932 could be a whole other story. Side note, not one trade offer was made to my Cubs this entire off season so far. We did add one hitter, name of Stan Hack, not sure but he might be a good one.

The Robins will now be known as the Dodgers once more I believe, more tomorrow or Saturday.

Division winners: Athletics/Yankees, Tigers, Giants and Cubs. The AL E is turning out to be a very interesting race as the middle of the season has come. The Cubs have the largest lead at 5 games but every division is up for grabs still. Should be an interesting July, a great deal could make all the difference.
