Bette Injury reporting
Ok, this happens every so often but sometimes when it does, it can be a pain.
I was cruising along, playing my Cubs Dynasty when I had an injury to three players at the same time. One on the Cubs, one at AAA and one at A. Now that is not the problem. The problem is, I only got a report about the guy (cant remember who it was now) on the Cubs. I do not allow the minor managers to make roster moves at all, never seems to work for me anyway, so I had two players that I did not get to put on the DL when they should have been and opened up the roster spots when I should have. This is annoying and it also happens when the players get healthy too. Is this something that can be fixed, maybe a box telling us all the injuries. Maybe instead of it popping up to the highest level, all injuries could be shown on one screen, like it will if you go to the transaction screen. Just wondering if this could be fixed. Thanks

A personal message listing any players in the org needing to go on to or be removed from the various DLs would be good.

Speaking of injury reporting, it would be nice when we get the "Diagnosis pending" thing to at least know what body part is affected.
I've said before, but ideally we would get a number of news stories over a few days with different outcomes, eg: "Yankees Pitcher John Smith suffered an elbow injury in today's game, it's unknown how serious it is and he'll have tests tomorrow" The following day: "Doctors are still not clear just how serious the injury to John Smith is, and further tests have been scheduled" A couple of days later: "Tests have revealed that Yankees pitcher John Smith will require Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the season". |

OOTP 14 has a setting that allows minor league managers to control lineups and pitching rotations. This setting also includes sending players to the DL and bringing them back when they are off the DL. The setting DOES NOT include promotions and demotions.
This setting may have been in earlier versions, but I just noticed it in 14. For me, this is the greatest discovery of all time. I want total control over promotions/demotions, but find it tedious to update every minor league lineup and rotation. Previously, I was going to every level and "asking the manager for the lineup". They generally do a good job. Also, I've changed positions for several players, and this setting has not reverted my decisions (so far). Its great, if I want to promote/demote, I just drag and drop, and know the manager will take care of the rest. |
